Haven't seen a updated thread, figured it might be a good time to start one.

Been around a few guys who smoke nice cigars. The smell has made me want to try them. Plus, be nice to have a nice cigar around a fire.

What's your go to cigar?

Go to cigar for a new guy?

Arturo Fuente Hemingway is a great place to start. Foundation el gueguense is a nearly perfect cigar.

Ashton symmetry is great, maybe my favorite and easier to find than opus X. Almost anything Tatuaje (brown label, black label, Miami, etc). Aj Fernandez and brands blended from aganorsa. EP Carillo is solid. Viaje blends great stuff.

I get pretty wrecked if I smoke a full size cigar and get into the whiskey.

A cognac dipped Al Capone is about right for me.

I don't typically smoke, but it can be nice occasionally.

Cuban rejects Maduro.
🤢

In all seriousness, I have an embarrassing amount of cigars, but a lot I bought from cigarbid.com for $1-$3 per cigar and figure out which blends I like. Actual Cubans, while good if aged for a lot of years, are not worth it. QC sucks, a lot of them don’t draw, they aren’t special at all if not aged and Jesus the pricetags lately.

Find a good Nicaraguan you like, My Father, Padron, Perdomo and my fav Placensia are all worth trying.

True Cuban cigars are phenomenal, but not worth anything close to the price you have to pay for them. Better off with high end padron, Arturo Fuente, or davidoff.
