    Congratulations on a successful goat hunt. Awesome billy and way to persevere thru the foul weather. What were you using for a tent/ shelter and how did it perform? What about hiking poles? Did you decide to take the entire hide out or just the cape for a shoulder mount?

    Cabelas, BassProShops, and Sportsman's Warehouse all usually have licenses and locking tags. Fred Myers often as well. Calling ahead is probably wise.

    Resident license fees have definitely gone up in Alaska since then... but I'm still amazed and thankful for the multiple-species opportunities included with that base resident license or simply via the free registration hunts.

    Wonderful hunt write up! Great that she chose to stay and hunt and persevered thru that many days of hunting and the inevitable emotional roller coaster after missing an animal.
