Have debated putting a red dot on my knight muzzleloader and shooting patched balls for hunting in thick brush. Would the recoil be too much for the optic?
I have heard of people taking large blinds and setting them up to where you can drive an atv underneath and close it off. Then its a short ladder climb to sit in the blind. Not 100% mobile, but may be worth it if you have any public land you feel is isolated enough to set this up.
Seems like most of the reviews here are positive for BCA. Been thinking about trying one of their uppers with a PSA lower at this next paycheck. Thank you all for the info.
I have found a stainless/synthetic Savage 116 in .270 at a local pawn shop. It's a pre accutrigger model so I'm guessing its 90's. Also has a threaded muzzle and break. It's in pretty decent shape and I don't currently have a 270. They want $400, is it worth it?
New forum member. I recently bought a .50cal Remington 700ml for a pretty good deal at a pawn shop. The goal was to replace my old hand-me-down knight with a good ~200yd muzzleloader. However, after a thorough cleaning and a couple rounds, I'm not sure the gun is a great fit for what I want out...
