I have found a stainless/synthetic Savage 116 in .270 at a local pawn shop. It's a pre accutrigger model so I'm guessing its 90's. Also has a threaded muzzle and break. It's in pretty decent shape and I don't currently have a 270. They want $400, is it worth it?

Good to know. I don't know much about rifles from those years. What would be a good price? Hard to find much about recent sales online.

Seems like a good price to me for a stainless rifle. That’s about as low as I see for older blued rifles with wood stocks in my area.

But who puts a break on a 270? The break may be worth $50-100 itself depending. Most brand name breaks run $100+.
May be a OEM unit that came on the rifle though.

I’d offer them $200, they likely only gave 100-150. It’s at a pawn shop and not a high demand rifle so I’d haggle.
