    Apple mostly. I haven’t experimented too much but like you say too much can get over powering so I feel like hickory or stronger might be too much. Tempted to try alder but I usually use it just for fish.

    It is. Pepperjack is great too, especially on tacos. I like to wait until those two pound blocks go on sale. The smoke tube is the key.

    I wear suspenders pretty often, infact wearing them right now, with pants that come with buttons and i can’t imagine wearing them with a pack on.

    Schnees Timberline ?/Issue

    I have a pair from the same time you bought yours and they have held up pretty good so far. I’m probably a 75-100 miles into them. First pair of Schnee’s I ever bought. Only thing I noticed was that under really heavy weight they didn’t support me quite the same as my Meindls.

    I’m in the same boat. I have a PRF 338 that I broke the stock and is getting a new Rokstock and going to rechamber it. Leaning towards 7PRC.

    Solar vs generators??

    Upgrading to 6v batteries in series will be a big improvement. Was going to say going to a real deep cycle battery will make a huge difference. I had two L16s in series in my little trailer and I kept it charged with a 100w. I still kept a little generator to top off if needed.
