My son just found a gold mine of them while turkey hunting. And some minors lettuce. Which I've never had.

Any tips for finding them in the blue mountains in NE Oregon?
Lived in NE OR for several years. Did very well in May where I was at. Hunt the recent burn scars, prescribed fire areas, and skid trails where logging or other mechanical thinning has been taking place. You can get this Intel from your local forest service district office. I found them more consistently in areas with Fir trees present. Other than the ticks, I miss the spring outdoor activities in Eastern Oregon big time! What a beautiful place to be this time of year. Good luck!

I have only looked a little and probably wont' have time for much more. Found a few pounds. Should be a good year here in WI. Headed to Inuvik for barren ground grizz so not much time to look

Dang, no morels yet in the yard but I did unearth a black truffle while planting a pear tree last week. Oh, was that delicious.

Nice! I was sure we were done up here but I found a mess at work last week and went out today and picked a slew too.
