Yes the wording definitely makes it sound worse.
I remember the first report you shot a young bull then a nice solid mature bull 👌 you did however follow up by shooting 2 more young bulls that clearly were sub mature (easy to tell after your older bull) because you picked the biggest one in the...
I know an old thread but figured I'd add some info. I've worn out the upper (peeled/chipped rand torn in the fake leather portion, hole in the soft squishy material in the side) on 1 pair in 12 months of NZ south island hunting (probably about 100 odd days) but by about the 4th trip they...
Yeh I get that but definitely want to test a few scopes I own as well as some other bits and pieces. Happy to risk a scope in controlled conditions like you say. Lots of soft green grass here in NZ. Spend a lot of effort getting into the mountains here chasing "the one" and want to make sure...
Hey @Formidilosus was going to setup a rifle to do a preliminary drop test on scopes before I break my hunting setups down. Do you have a preferred setup ie chassis, rails and rings etc. Was thinking the rokslide standard 223 etc but wondered if the factory stock would potentially induce a...
Also the aboves just pointing out something people do when they come to NZ that really makes a bunch of kiwi hunter hate foriegners. If you want to come here feel free to reach out and I'll give you a hand in where you can have a trip of a lifetime
Not related to the post and im all for people going to hunt the states as foreigners as t americans hunt everywhere else but im going to be honest, whilst I love taking out foreigners here (NZ) when you don't have to pack out meat killing loads of animals isn't difficult. It's is however a bit...
I'm sure you know but skins won't be great in October as they will be loosing their winter coats horns obviously as good as anytime. If you had time free (guessing your diy based on time of year) I could probably get you onto some Chamois too.
Unlikely, if it dials, tracks, and passes a drop test I'll be holding on to it and trying for either a partial refund or until they have one ready to send me without the issue.
Are you hunting here?
I have can see it all on the lowest setting looking out at dusk. I'm not sending the scope back until I have another as if it doesn't the important aiming device functions properly then that comes first but I'd preferred to have brought it without illumination and saved some weight and money...
No it's not normal bleed usually happens when the light flares from behind the reticle not when it actually lights parts of the reticle it's not meant to.
That would be hard I'm in NZ. I just asked here to see if it's the norm as by the time it's landed in NZ they are not cheap. I can deal with it but if I paid for illumination it'd be nice if it was usable.
Mine arrived today from the new batch. What part of the reticle is normally illuminated? Mine the centre dot is illuminated but about half the reticle on the right side has illumination glinting from behind. Assuming this isn't normal.
