Recommend central WI or western WI public land for quality bucks. Stevens Point has some good public land you can kill a nice buck at those times of the year with the bow.
Anything off the Mississippi is tough but if you have the right mindset and transportation can kill something nice too
I’m on a lease in south central IA this fall if I draw. I can fill in on how it goes and if he is open to additional clients. Pics of bucks are pretty impressive
You can go MT with an outfitter; you get a point and outfitter point so pretty good chance you would draw tag.
As above either look for areas that draw with zero points or look at 2nd draw to snatch a tag.

Same issue in NE WI, many 2.5 and 3.5 bucks getting zipped by crossbows during archery season I have noticed the last 5 years; lucky if a person gets a 4.5 plus now a days. This one got whacked with crossbow by neighbor. Guess they are here to stay unfortunately.

i too have a cva accura v2 lr. i also shoot the no excuse 420 grain bullets in the .503. At the range all good however i did have a misfire. where are you getting these corks from? if you are actually cutting them down can you explain a bit more as this may be my issue due to the lube on the NE...
