This is the truth right here. After being shown how to use the bino-harness, a rear bag will almost always be a distant 2nd choice.
@Formidilosus, always remember Jesus loves you.
Went through 2 AC pumps and associated driers, filters, etc. on an 07 in 180k. Also had the constant slow oil consumption from day 1. Dealer of course said it was normal, but it never escalated. If I was buying something in the mileage range you are looking at, I’d like to see that it’s had...
Here is the follower from a 19911 mag. Maybe adding some ‘legs’ to both ends, or possibly just the rear, of the follower will help prevent the nosedive?
25g of Varget @ 2.410 coal had just the slightest bit of crunch for me with a 75. If you run em at the lengths Pharm posted I’d wager no crunch at all. You’ll need a aftermarket mag either way. I am using Ascension mags as well.
Yes, factory length tube. 25 is book max and I hit velocity almost exactly. Though the Hodgdon data did say a 24” 1-12” barrel which seems odd. Primers were a tad flat, but no cratering. 70 degree day and I did my best not to cook the rounds in the barrel.
Tried some 75’s over 25g Varget, REM 7 1/2 primer, 2.410 coal. Avg 2911 out of the Superlight barrel. 10 right at 1”. Didn’t take em long yet, but the box calls for a 1-7” min so we’ll see.
For those of you struggling with the rifle twisting in a Kifaru gun bearer, this is the easy fix. Mine is cobbled together with pieces of 2 different versions of the fix(webbing and cord) but just cord works great with a line-loc adjuster. And if the cradle itself is not large enough for your...
Yes, at least that’s the idea. Factory 223 mags do have issues when you get em wet. There’s discussion about it in other threads.
Form discusses it here in post #66

Can’t say that my experience with Toyotas matches yours, but 2 people can accomplish the same task and have different opinions as to difficulty level. I’ve always found Toyotas easy to work on, not that it’s needed much. Now Honda engineers can go take a leap. As for fuel pumps, they are...
Interesting. Looks like the longer coal might be reducing velocity. Thanks for the reply.
Honestly I’d say that is a good group. I’d take that and go kill stuff out to the limits of that cartridge/bullet combo.
