use the hell outta our HR! Basically make a 2x or 3x dinner portion 1-2 nights of the week when the HR is free.
One thing I haven’t seen is pizza!
Papa Murphy’s delite (thin crust) cut into smaller squares or just break up regular slices once dried. So dang good as is, it reconstituted.
lots of time behind these, yes they are heavy, but of course they will be heavier with the added battery and range finding guts stuffed inside.
Giving up the extra pouch with a range finder is enough of a trade off to negate the added weight of the binos themselves.
Glass has great image...
Not a fan of the giant nut on the side either… all that too say I have many Leupy Mark4s with the giant nut… but for a hunting rig you can’t go wrong with their back country series. I’ve used some open country series on .22s, but would drop the extra coin to go back country for larger caliber...
I’ve never had issues, but like said above… too many people trying to sale at or just under MSRP.
Another issue seen is purchasing older Leupold’s on the cheap, then sending in for “warranty work” and resaleing the in the wrapper, updated replacement.
I have them on every Leupold I own, even a VX3L.
They are $$$ but worth every penny. I've never had a freezing issue with them, and most elk seasons we are crashing snowy brush all day every day.
I run one on a backpack .300. So far no complaints.
At first was not impressed with the build quality, but after talking to Vortex, apparently the angled objective lense is part of the design... although I still am a skeptic. All that to say it hasn't failed me yet and holds zero lol.
