Can't help but feel like dropping 20k+ into my investment portfolio would be a better long term return than putting in panels.
But, for the off-grid aspects of the project, now maybe I'd be interested.
For me, It'd be more about hedging the risk of our fragile utility infrastructure more than...
The only thing worse than people asking for unit info/spots/information in posts are the people that give the unit info/spots/information in posts.
A close 3rd, is the 2+ year old thread bump-ups that have unit numbers with the classic "I'm thinking of going here this year. How'd your hunt go?"...
Got one on a Sig Cross. Seems like its a pretty good can.
Not the most quiet but I'm still shooting the 30 cal. end cap. Its still perfectly good for hunting applications. I still wear ear pro at the range though. Seems like it gives off plenty of heat mirage but it does cool off pretty quick...
How do you have a name like "Nature Conservancy" and push for industrial developments on the very land you claim to want to "conserve".
These guys took in 1.3 BILLION in FY'22. That much cash tends to come with strings.....
Not to mention they were caught selling carbon credits to corporations...
Jumped on 2 recently thru Silencer Shop as an individual.
Purchased March 5th.
Certified form 4 on the 26th March.
One approved on the 28th and the other on the 29th.
Dealer was blown away.
Good post.
What I'll add is:
1. Just because you read one or even a handful of posts of an NR complaining about this or that tag, its just one guy. That person doesn't speak for everyone. We all need to remember that. Resident or Non.
I donated to CRWM and so did alot of other people that don't...
Colorado has OTC tags and tons of no-point/low point units. There is nothing stopping any resident from going out and hunting very good areas.
If you kick one NR out, there is no way to logically say a non hunting resident will take their place.
Listened yesterday on my way to a job.
Good:
Mentioning HOWL and other lesser known conservation groups.
I enjoyed some of the "back in the day" stories.
Bad:
Discussing Colorado Mtn Lion ballot initiative, but completely failing to acknowledge how it really got started. (Derek Wolfe IG post)...
Pretty sure residents could buy a second tag this year in those units you mentioned and nobody wanted them. At least not for the NR price. Might have to fact check me there though.
There would probably be over 60k applications. If you assume 3x choices per app. Leaves you with 180,000 choices...
Because everyone is logging in at approximately the same time causing website issues. Just a few years ago. it wasn't an issue.
And people that show up in person don't get a random number at all.
There are horror stories every year about the online waiting room booting people before purchase and some of you want to totally depend on that system to function? I've talked to fish and game employees and they know that they can't handle the site traffic. That site needs to be bulletproof...
Only been on one Neb elk hunt, and a couple scouting trips but I'll throw my two cents:
Pay attention to anything with long white tips.
Look for fronts that turn and point up.
Bulls with cows are not necessarily the highest scoring in the area.
Seems like Nebraska genetics tend more toward...
