It's nice though that you can just suspend the unit and only use the features during months you'll be out.
The SOS feature is not active when the device is not "in active service" due to liability issues as well.

Plus the design of the TAG bags is in my opinion really the deal sealer. The way they 'stand up' and become somewhat rigid when filled - makes pack ability just much much better. Well worth the cost.

The human gear cap-cap is definitely worth it and only a very tiny amount of weight over the standard Nalgene lid.
If you're trying to cut weight using a bladder but wanting to use a steripen - you can take an old 1L platypus roll up bottle and chop the top off leaving a wide open "sleeve"...
I just did the same thing. I normally take a 32 or 33 in waist jean, the Pranas in s/m/l come in for me as a large fits damn near perfect in waist and legs, etc.
they list it as a 34 but it feels like Euro Sizing.
