I think people need to consider eyesight differences too. I frankly don't think that my 48-year-old eyes could get the crosshair where it needs to be with enough certainty at 600 yards on a Coues deer. I think that's like eyesight at 100 yards on 6x, but 9x seems hard already.
I agree 100%. Last two years I've taken 2 coues, one at 607 yards and another at 468 yards. Both 1 shot kills, but in both cases wished I had slightly more magnification than 9x on my SWFA 3-9, which has led to the acquisition of a Maven RS1.2 and a Trijicon Ten Mile for coues. Otherwise, I...
I'm selling a new-in-the-box SWFA 3-9x42 HD scope. It was purchased for a build that didn't come to fruition, and it's been sitting for a while, so it's time to let it go to someone who can use it. Not looking to make money on it just want to put it into the hands of someone who can use it $600...
Depends on what optics we are talking about, binoculars and spotters, mostly Europe. But rifle scopes that hold zero and dial accurately? Definitely not Europe. Japan and the USA are tops for rifle scopes.
Nobody voted for Project 2025; it wasn't on the ballot. It came from the Heritage Foundation, not the Trump campaign, and asserting otherwise is baseless fearmongering.
If you want the scope to hold zero you only have 4 options: Nightforce, Trijicon, Maven RS 1.2 only, SWFA. Locking turrets, not sure other than nightforce. Swaros, Leupold, Vortex etc. do not hold zero.
Trijicon Huron, Ascent or Credo for what you describe, and it will hold zero, unlike any Swaro, Vortex, Leupold etc.

As far as reloading, there is a big difference between the common loads and the SKAN loads. The common loads are underloaded due to older rifles and pressure issues, but the SKAN loads are for more modern rifles like your Tikka. My general understanding after researching is that you can safely...
The Fat Stix can be purchased on Amazon right now for $98 and if you buy another item to get you over $100, you get 25$ off the transaction (I grabbed some handwarmers).
I have the Maven 18s, pretty much identical optically to the Vortex UHDs, and I agree they compare very favorably to the Swaro and Meopta 15s. I use my Maven 18s the most of all my options during Coues season every year.
Yes, I have the 10.5 Kowa Genesis and the glass experience is equal to or better than the SLCs, but they don't take an Outdoorsman stud, so you have to use one of the clamp type attachments for a tripod
