What kind of ammo for moose?

My dad just shot his in October with a 30-06 Winchester power point 180 grain. Put a couple extra ones in him but they did the job.

Settled on a new 7 mag for my upcoming hunt. So far the Winchester Super-X Power-Point 7 mm REM mag ammo is shooting the best for me which I’m fine with as I’ve always shot that ammo for my 30-06. Question, currently shooting the 175 grain load through it but debating if I should take it down...

Limit on meat brought back into USA from Canada?

The only thing I can think of where the 50# comes from is what you want to pack boxes for flying? We flew back with 6 coolers weighing exactly 50 pounds each so we didn’t have to pay oversized baggage fees?

Taking Equity out of Home to Go on Guided Hunts

Holy crap! That is amazing! Excited to follow along on your slam over the next few years. Just of curiosity, why choose the Cali bighorn for your rocky? If the goal is to simply get the slam, Alberta seems to have plenty of rocky bighorn hunts for about half that price.

How do you justify sheep hunting?

Good idea. I’ve already doing some weighted pack work and once I’m able to start putting on some Miles, I’ll head to the beach and start doing some weighted hikes in the sand dunes. Figure that’s as good as any.
