    75gr Gold Dots

How many you looking for? I’ve got 4-600 bullets I’d sell. Have to dig through my cabinet to find the exact count

    Reloading 2.0 Guidance Requested

But why if the flap sander finished crown shoots? Why are incremental charges “good technique”, because that’s what others do so you just figure it’s correct?

Taping Recoil Lug When Glass Bedding

The last few 700s I’ve just taped the bottom of the lug. Folks will argue about it but they seem to shoot well tight. Folks seriously talking about taping the back of the lug should really not be working on their firearms.

    Powder Measure

Lee perfect for stick powders, RCBS uniflow with the micrometer for ball powder. The lee is cheap enough I have multiple already set for cartridges just swap out the measure (or drum) the RCBS is easy just to record settings and dial to the correct number. Powder Scale hardly gets used except to...

    Who’s still running balance beams?

measuring powder on a scale, trickling, - what a huge waste of time. No thanks. Use the beam scale to set/check the actual powder measure, dump direct into the case and seat bullets. factory ammo isn’t weighed, it can shoot well enough that guys can win with it in PRS/NRL.

Truck Air Bags Offroad and Lifted

I agree you can feel 5psi but in my tundra it needs a little anyway. Did you maintain the 5psi min recommended with the cradles installed? You may know this but to clarify for others. The 5psi min is so you don’t rip the bags when the suspension cycles, without positive air pressure when the...

    Bullet drop variation

The problem with 3 shots there isn’t enough data to really know where the center of the “group” is, meaning your recorded “drops” probably aren’t very accurate. If this wasn’t the case you could go and re-shoot the same test and the data will match. My hunch is it won’t, the “drops” will be...

    New primers

I wouldn’t redo load development. When I switch primers I just check and make sure the velocity is the same, and move on

    Resistance when resizing.

One shot is awesome. I lube 100+ at a time, stand up in a box, spray at an angle to get one side and in the case necks, tip them over and spray the other side, then shake them up.

Truck / SUV suited for Snowy Icy Roads

May seem counter intuitive, but I really don’t like lockers on icy roads. Deep snow, is/would be awesome. Icy off camber mountain roads, no thanks. If both rear tires are locked and spin at the same speed, you lose traction on any kind of side slope and your rear end tends to slide sideways...

    Temperature affect on POI

For 500 yards I’d just print a dope card for your new average elevation and expected temp. Check it at the min elevation/coldest expected temp and highest elevation and max expected temp to see what the difference is to reassure yourself if the difference is small enough to not worry about for...

    Kids pack options

mystery ranch coulee 40 worked great this year. Was only $130 at sierra trading post. Very adjustable so will continue to fit her as she grows. When she is really big enough to pack an elk quarter, we will look at a heavier duty pack for sure.

    Painless load development (mine)

I don’t use H4350 or varget, but with RL16 and XBR they measure pretty darn well out of a lee perfect. Shooting 20 round groups at 600yd I can’t tell the difference on target between hand trickled and direct throw charges. F class guys probably could, maybe a better shooter could, but I can’t...

    Painless load development (mine)

Electronic is Mindless but slow. Dumping direct from the measure can be a Huge time saver. Lee perfect is $30, can buy a bunch and leave setup/ swap them out. Lifting up the loading block and charging 50 cases direct from the measure is surely way way faster.

Legitimate benefits to lifting a vehicle?

Toyota IFS lifts don’t really allow you to run a larger tire than you can with no lift. Unless you limit wheel travel, never flex your suspension, or just deal with the rubbing. There are other benefits than tire size. I had to use a cutoff wheel to remove my skid plate on my tundra after my...

    7mm-08 speeds slow

Lots of reasons 1- your chrono sucks. 2- the recipe in the Nosler book may use a different barrel length 3 the recipe in the Nosler book was developed in a different rifle, it’s only going to be ballpark for charge weights vs pressure in your rifle. If your chrono is accurate, your recipe...

    First ROK Stock Poll

Form, do you find the narrow round forend on the tikka to be optimal for stability and control from field positions? Shooting off a front bag or pack, wouldn’t a slightly wider and flat provide better stability? Not talking about gamer plates but keeping it reasonable - example below seekins...
