Also, I have a pair of kenetrek mountain extremes now in a 12 and really wish they would make in a 12.5. I have put a lot of miles on them, especially with more technical terrain, but this last year I hiked into a pretty nasty place every day and by day 5 the balls of my feet were getting beat...
I actually did contact blackovis and they said Thor. Not sure if that has the ankle support I would like however. I did bring up the briksdal but they said it is a fair bit narrower but I may try it as it still may work. I also thought of contacting gohunt, I like that company also, just wasn’t...
I am looking for a boot with the same fit as the crispi lapponia. That boot fits my foot perfect. Narrower heel with a slightly roomier toe box and medium to narrow midsection. Would like to have roughly a 4 flex though with a bit more ankle support. Doesn’t have to be as light, probably can’t...
Evolved ballistics And front range precision. Have had great luck with both and great pricing on proof barrels. They have actions and other parts available also

I am using h1000, 210m out of a 22” proof barrel and getting 2970 with 168 vld. Very happy with the velocities and accuracy. I have slight crunching when seating bullets and would like to try some rl23 but I haven’t seen any available in a long time. Tried h4350, accuracy was good but speeds...
Don’t get stuck on a brand, try a few and see what fits best. I tried a few before I settled on stone glacier as that was most comfortable for me. Started with a 3300 pack and when I was going to do my first multi night hunt I got a 5900 bag. After seeing how small it is when compressed, I never...
I used gohunt and onX this year. Really wanted to use just gohunt but it always took longer for gps to get my position. Really wish they would have 3D offline also. But I do like the topo and satellite better on gohunt

Agreed with not the subalpine. Had subalpine too and solid bottom on the ground with about 15 deer from 10-40yards around me a week ago. Just stay still and keep the wind and you are good

And I do worry about that. This is just the use I would like it to work for but I do use them often for a lot of other activities being in the tundra of nd! Haha

I am not familiar with all of kuiu products. I have attack pants from them and that’s it. I was thinking the 118 would be alwarmer than the 97 but maybe not? Was doing more looking and the new 120 pro may fit the bill also

I guess as an example, i was just on an elk hunt in Montana and it was about 20 in the morning. Took a 30 minute atv ride and would like something from the tent to when I start walking. I do use rain gear to cut the wind but if it was much cooler it would be nice for a bit more warmth. Also when...
I am needing a new base layer and am going zip off this time. I have heard some people talk as the peloton is just as warm as the merino. Is this the case? I tend to like synthetic a bit better than merino. For some reason keeps me a bit warmer and is more comfortable. It says mild weather on...
With the regular dehavilland and a medium base layer I would say 10 degrees depending on wind. They are not windproof I don’t think but the do take care of a good portion of it I feel. I think there are better options if simply stationary but if you do a mixture of both, I choose these hands...
I am really liking my stone glacier dehavilland pants. The lites are awesome when it’s warm. Morning temps of 30 last week and hiking and I was fine with them. Would want more if I was stationary. The regulars are awesome for colder weather. Though it would be nice to have mesh in the hip vents...
Wondering if anyone has one of these for sale or even that I could rent or borrow? I have looked everywhere and they seem to be out of stock
