Please don't do that. If you are hunting in Colorado, you need Hunter Safety training, which the first thing they tell you is "NEVER POINT YOUR WEAPON AT ANYTHING YOU DON'T WISH TO DESTROY". In some states, you would be committing a Felony (Aggravated Assault). And if you point your rifle at the...
Good Luck !! It's so darn hot here, it's hard to believe it's almost elk hunting time. I just got back from my 4:00 am workout trying to get ready. I have to do it before the 99 degree sauna starts in the afternoon.
I use the Camelbak system. It has the rubber insulation on the hose to prevent freezing, but in real cold weather, it still froze. I learned (after reading somewhere), that after drinking from the tube, blow the water (Gatorade, etc), back into the bladder. That way there is no liquid in the...
I'm thinking you're good. Stupid analogy, but "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Probably cost a fortune to ship it with insurance and such, just for them to clean it up and return it to you in 6 or 8 weeks. If it fails, then send it in.
Probably better for your Daughter too, telling her it's...
Balloons, finger cots, etc are too fragile and seem to get torn off when walking through brush, or putting the rifle in a saddle scabbard on horseback, etc. Even just putting it in and taking it out of the rifle case causes damage to them. I've used the Birchwood Casey barrel cots, and had to...
Sorry, I misunderstood. It has been a long time since I used a muzzleloader. Way back when, we used aerosol hair spray (in a can) to help seal the cap primer on the nipple against moisture. We didn't have inline ML at the time.
Good Luck, I'm sure someone has a suggestion.
Never heard of either of those on a primer. I used to use fingernail polish applied with a toothpick, but haven't been doing it lately. You can purchase Markron primer sealer which is the same as fingernail polish. Put a dab on the primer, then wipe off the excess with a papertowel before it dries.
I believe the viscosity isn't really different. A 10w-30 or 20w-50 should be the same in synthetic or conventional oil. I think the reason you start seeing oil leaks in old(er) engines is the regular oil builds up sludge and goo and using synthetics in those engines cleans that gooey stuff out...
JEck, you don't mention how many miles you have on your vehicles. Amsoil synthetics is all I use. The Signature blend can go 25,000 miles between changes. At 12,500, change the oil filter and top off the oil. Good to go another 12,500. A quality filter is really important. Amsoil makes filters...
Maybe the table was too big to fit in the delivery vehicle? Our local Post Office employee uses her personal vehicle which is a small SUV (Honda Pilot).
Correct. It went to resident only for bull hunts a couple years after I hunted it in 1998. I used to apply every year before it changed but only got it once.
The outfitter I hunt with now uses the gutless method on elk. The only downside I see is the difficulty getting all of the tenderloins out. I used to hunt with a different outfitter that gutted the elk at the kill site, then hauled it to "the shop" where an engine hoist was used to lift it. Then...
He is. I have been Bull Elk hunting unit 4 (Chama) since 1990 all private ranches except for 1998 when I drew for Sargent (unit 4) and the couple years I hunted Colorado. Couple years ago I was in a local restaurant in Chama that had a sign up for a local outfitter looking to buy unit 4 private...
