    If it's a legal animal it gets an arrow. My first three years Elk hunting I passed on cows an calfs only to bring home nothing. The 4th time I took one home. 15mins into our hunt on opening morning an I was done. Given that chance again an I'll take the shot again.

    Good to hear. Seems like more people are happy after the move than not. She now has a year under her belt as an RN. I have nine years an a bunch of vacation where I am though. If everything goes as planned, by the end of the year we will be there.

    How do you guys carry your rangefinder on spot and stalk hunts?

    I leave my RX750 in the pouch that came with it. I just ran the bottom right strap off of my S4 bino system through the pouch. It sets near the right side of my chest. Easy to get to and the pouch keeps the dust off of it.

    That hog is a monster. My buddy at work kill a boar that weighed 401 two years ago. Killed a boar that weight 396 a year before that. This is in southeastern Oklahoma in nat forest.

    My coworker travels from Arkansas every year to do this. Dude is a beast going from our 400 feet above sea leavel to pikes peak. No way could I ever do that.

    Havalon is all I carry anymore. Between my elk an muley thats all I used. From skinning to quartering to taking legs off at the knee. If I had to take another it would be my outdoor edge I purchased (before I found havalon).

    I dont know if I can talk a buddy into it. They are not the gear junkies that I am. Wouldnt bother me to drive to mizzou if its the right weekend though. I can be in springfield in 3 hours an kc in 5.

    I'd be interested. I live near Fort Smith AR(on the OK side of the border). My family has several lake houses at Lake of the Ozarks. I could possibly meet anywhere between here an there.
