Hey all, I was looking for any quiver recommendations you guys might have. Looking to upgrade from the Octane quiver that came with my Bowtech Assassin. Looking to keep it as lightweight as possible!
Thanks

i dont consider my tightspot all that lightweight.

and i find myself tapping it all the time to see if i can get it to vibrate. what vibes are the arrows. this happens when i dont push them up into the hood hard. or they slip down some..

it's okay, and it is fun to adjust up down, level, unlevel to see how it changes the balance. i love how it rides close to the bow..but man.my T5 quiver on my mathews was the best..i havent seen the new Elite quiver, but if it looks good, i might try that one as well.

call me old school. but i love my bow being light weight, so much that i use a hip quiver. true you have to watch where you walk a bit more, but archery hunting, you should be anyways!

I think that quiver that comes with your Assassin is one of the lightest you will find and I prefer it over all the high end quivers for several reasons. I only use quivers with two arrow grippers, Needs to be light and that is one thing a tight spot is not although it can make up for the weight a little by mounting closer to the bow. I have not found a single arrow gripper capable of holding arrows tight enough to not rattle or worry about loosing them I also carry a blunt sometimes and those don't hold themselves well with one end relying on foam or a rubber hood. I use the Trophy Ridge 6 Shooter because it has two arrow grippers, its cheap, and the foam can be removed from the hood. I will admit it seems cheap but I have two one on each bow that have held up for 3 years each. I did break one of the brackets they slide into but a quick call to CS and a new one was on the way free of charge. I have searched several times for a better solution but due to weight and the lack of two grippers and usually only a 5 arrow capacity I always come back to the 6 shooter. I am always searching for a better quiver with a longer spread between the brackets like the tight spot could offer if they would just put a second gripper on it, of the Hoyt long one piece. Take it for what its worth but I will not go back to a quiver with a single gripper even if it was a tight spot with adjustable tension on the arrows. Not trying to talk down the Tight Spot quivers they are a great quiver but I prefer something else and I think there are much cheaper options that will perform as well or even better for alot of hunters. Unless you dislike the bowtech quiver I would stick with it.

I like my Tightspot. I love the adjustability. If you are getting vibration, you can tighten up the arrow holders and also create some extra contact points on your riser with gel wrap or small Bowjax--it really helps.

I use the Hoyt pro and like it much more than tight spot. My arrows are almost full length and the double gripper is one of the few that holds them tight and doesn't make noise.

Your arrows shouldn't be loose or vibrate in a Tightspot. You can adjust the arrow holders individually. Just tighten them up if arrows are loose.

they are pretty tight. i tighten them all the time. like i am working them in and in and in....

i think foam under the hood would be awesome..but that is just me. i like a real two points to contact, not those dents up under the hood. i like the thing, just like everything..it isnt perfect for me.

the 2014 tight spots now have the rubber insert and the top is also stuffed with foam.

I may be old school, but I use what works for me. I use quality two piece quivers. I am currently using a Trophy Ridge. I don't want to be adjusting my quiver all the time nor do I want a quiver with a single mounting point. Go on YouTube and watch a slow motion video of the tight spot moving around at the shot. That will open your eyes a little.... Ed F

I never used to be a fan of one piece, single point attachment quivers. Especially disliked the Mathews "T" series. The hood the arrow grippers were too close together, and for someone with long arrows (30.5") that left a LOT of unsupported arrow out there to vibrate and make noise at the shot (which they did, in spades). I generally never liked "removable" quivers either, as that was just one more part for vibration and noise to enter into the system. I always used two piece, bolt ons.

I was leery of the Tight Spots for many of the same reasons I normally dont like one piece quivers. But they have quite a bit of space between the hood and grippers to help eliminate arrow vibration, and they are infinitely adjustable which is awesome (any of you guys that prefer at cat quiver or something not attached to your bow really outta try one). Play around with one enough, and you just might be able to eliminate a stab, drop down stab weight/length, or eliminate an offset bracket.

Ive had Tight Spots on three bows now and have no complaints other than the older models came with the cheapest hunk of foam in the hood ive ever seen. Easily replaced though.

Just switched from a Mathews T-5 quiver to a TightSpot on a new Elite bow and agree with Coyote Commander. Was initially leary of the sipping the TightSpot Koolaid, but the fact that the offset bracket positions the quiver body further aft of the bow's grip, and so close to the riser, really makes a difference in balance...
