    Western mountain v kuiu bag

Is this Kuiu products in general, or just your experience with their sleeping bags?

    Western mountain v kuiu bag

I think the Kuiu sleeping bags are a good bag at 30% off flash sale prices. Just used their 15 degree bag on a South Dakota trip with temps down to 19 and was pretty comfortable. Their shoulder circumference is reported as 64” which is still bigger than many, but tight on my shoulders. I...

Which Kifaru accessory as a gift???

Love the UL bags and the 3 and 5 string compression bags. Use them for all my hunting trips and even business travel.

    Kuiu pants fitment

To me, the Attacks are some of the most comfortable pants I have, and I'm not skinny. They have a lot of stretch.

I messed up my Seam Sealing

I mixed the Silnet with odorless mineral spirits to get a thin syrup consistency, then applied to seams with a one-inch foam brush. Saw this on YouTube and it worked good. Seems like it took less than 2 hours to finish my 8-man.

    Kids backpacking set up

My son is 8 and I got him the Deuter Fox 40 as well. With the adjustable frame he should be able to use it for several years. Seems like a pretty decent pack.

    Best Vest

I like the Kuiu Guide vest. Seems pretty durable and water resistant as an outerwear vest.

    Stone Glacier Avail 2200

I picked up the Avail when they came out last year, and so far I really like this pack. It has replaced my Badlands Superday. Used it last year as a daypack for mule deer hunting in SD, and also for TN whitetails. It's comfortable and simple, yet has plenty of interior pockets for...

    LBO question

Seen the base+tarp+base configuration, but was wondering if you can connect base+tarp+ vestibule? If so, was wondering if anyone had a photo. Thanks

    Silvertip vs Cimarron

I had been going back and forth on what small shelter to get from SO. Already have the 8 man so pulled the trigger on a LBO today.

    Extra large beanie for hunting

I wear 7 5/8 - 7 3/4 hats and recently picked up a Peleton 240 beanie in the largest size available. Seems to fit my big head fine, but I haven't had a chance to field test it yet.

    Cimmaron vs 4 man

Nice! I wondered if anyone had requested just one screen to save a little weight. Also, with only one screen and without liners that would get it down to around 4 lbs 12 oz. if my math is correct, that's only 1 lb more than a Cimmaron with stove jack, stakes and carbon pole.

    Cimmaron vs 4 man

Looking for a relatively lightweight setup for me and my son to do some hiking and camping. Most hiking trips will be 10 miles or less total over a 2 -3 day trip. Can't decide between the Cimmaron and 4 man. Looks like the Cimmaron with stakes, stove jack and carbon pole is going to run...

    Powder temperature input?

I'm no expert and haven't shot at that distance before, but I have definitely noticed changes in POI and pressure with 30 degree temperature changes. It varies depending on the temperature sensitivity of different powders. I have a load for a 300 wsm that shots great at cooler temps, but above...

    New Stone Glacier Avail 2200

Is there a handle at the top of the bag or the Avail frame?

    Sizing..

I'm 6'2 and about 240 lbs. For Kuiu, I wear a 38 in the Attacks and Tiburon pants. My chest measurement is about 49" and I wear an XXL in Kuiu jackets and tops. The FL stuff I have is mostly XL with the exception of their Llano top which I wear in XXL.

    Which stove for tipi?

That HPG stove pictured above looks like a great design. I've heard they were developing a mid-size as well, but when I check their website it appears they haven't had any stoves in stock for quite some time.

    Which stove for tipi?

Does it use rods rather than wire tensioner now? Also, is the baffle a separate piece?
