What’s everyone’s favorite early season sock?

You can but your foot may slide around too much. You have to tighten your boot more and that can be uncomfortable. Thin merino socks are much better IMHO Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What’s everyone’s favorite early season sock?

I never wear synthetic socks. Wool all year round for me. Sure your boots/shoes are breathable? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Sitka 90% Pants, what is the replacement?

I wore them once this season because they had been lonely. Liked them so much that I’m keeping them! Sorry. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

A blaze orange full brimmed hat?

There’s a few decent blaze orange Bonnie hats out there. I agree Tilleys are the best. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

And it’s a good excuse to get some Crown Royal. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Looking for a set of antlers for rattling

Just my $0.02; You gotta earn them. It’s sort of like leveling up in a game. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    First Lite Sanctuary Durability

Yeah they will do that at first, material will quiet some with wear and wash. That said, I don’t walk in mine as they are too warm and can get torn on thorns in the woods. The 3-way side zips do allow some venting if needed. I put mine on once I’m at the stand. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    First Lite Sanctuary Durability

Don’t wear it walking to the stand and it will last you many years. It’s too warm to wear to the stand anyway IMHO. I always pack mine out than put it on when I get to the stand. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Camo photographing different than in person?

Don’t overthink it. What matters is what the game animal sees and green really won’t matter to them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What to do with used Marino wool

Use them as just arm sleeves, sort of like socks for your arms. Also use as a gun sock, like a light gun case. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Wooltimate or First Lite Solitude

I have the a Wooltimate set and the FL Sanctuary set, also the Woodbury. I hunt Wisconsin and NE Iowa. Wooltimate is heavy duty and breaks the wind better. I like it better for gun season. Too warm to move in. FL is lighter weight, quieter, and better designed for archery and being in a tree...

    Obnoxious about layering.

Your question needs more context of temps, wind, and type of hunt to formulate good responses. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Great pieces from non hunting brands

Who makes an affordable waterproof glove? I’ve seen some 3mm neoprene ones on Amazon but don’t know if they’re any good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    First Lite Wick shirts

In theory, nylon blends should be more durable. I have the older poly blend and have been really happy with them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Wool everyday vest

Another vote for Filson, I’ll have it all my life so money well spent. I also have a couple First Light merino vests, much lighter weight. Doesn’t look as classy but a nice layering piece. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Tapatalk issues

I get this about once a year. I think I had to go to the Rockslide webpage and re-log in to clear it up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Camo or solid day pack?

Good point. No matter what what you use, may want some blaze orange even in bow season. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Still Hunting Jacket

Another vote for Jetstream. I also have the Kuiu Guide. It it’s more like a deluxe sweatshirt compared to the Jetstream with its Gore. Keeps me dry in light rains for up to 2 hours. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
