    A good mushroom hunting pooch is worth their weight in gold! My girlfriend let my dog get a good sniff of a morel last year and told him to find it. Immediately got on them without missing a beat. Problem is he will eat them if you dont catch him first. Hilarious to watch.

    Heard the same thing enough times that we do too. Dont know if it works or not. The good spots are usually good year after year for us.

    Just split, dry well and they preserve nicely in the freezer. I like to eat as many as i can when theyre fresh. Once i freeze and dry i generally add to soups and stirfry. YMMV Best of luck, a great time of year is upon us.

    .243 90 gr Sierra Game Changer

    Not to hijack, but on the grendel front I would try the 129gr ABLRs. Open down to 1300fps. My one test subject this year was thoroughly convinced in not much over 10yds (shot from 138yds)... AND that was out of a pistol! 2.5-3" exit and that was all she wrote.
