I made the mistake of trying to run them with another pair of socks during a packout. I felt we were in a time crunch as the weather was warm and the adrinaline was high and I didn't want to take the time to pull my boots. I paid for it by loosing both my pinky nails a couple weeks later. I...
The wife and I enjoy our purple mattress as well. I think mattress' are a very personal item. What works for some people doesn't work very well for others.
Also, I think people buy them because they think they want a "cool" kifaru pack and then realize they don't need a $$$$ backpack to hunt out of a tree stand or use it as much as they thought they would. Then they get put up in the classifieds.
Disclaimer: I have more Kifaru packs than brains.
I've been calling my local archery shop once a week checking on arrow shipments. They keep telling me try back next week. I was beginning to get frustrated but it doesn't seem to be an isolated event.
I used my hoodlum to pack out a coues last weekend. I am using a gun bearer on the back to hold the bottom cam but In an effor to run ultralight I am no running any rear pouches. I have one of the original hoodlums without the extra straps.
I believe it’s a little of both but more mental than physical. You can be in the best shape of your life but if you don’t have the the mental drive to keep after it then your muscles arnt doing you any good.
I have bought two of the enclosed versions to protect my binos. I really like the bow hook they have that is designed to attach to the bottom of the harness. My only beef is that my 18x56 fit super tight in the large size and the flap didn't want to stay closed when I first got it, but after...
I found it means alot of different things to different people. For us, our dog primarily eats raw chicken with other various meats and vegetable as substitution. People freak out at first when they hear raw chicken/meat but its no different than what a wild coyote, bobcats, wolves, etc eats.
I have a 6 year old lab that went on raw diet after about a year of puppy food. This is the 3rd lab i've raised but the first one on "raw". She always has high quality kibble available to her as a suppliment but rarely eats from it. It takes some planning and scanning supermarket ads to see when...
Apparently they are so backlogged that there are pallets and pallets of parcels that are waiting to be sorted and shipped. The packages are not going anywhere and will be eventually shipped- they will just be late.
My co-worker is waiting on a package and tried to rip our mail carrier a new...
Good job on the hunt! I'm not 100% confident because I only have one picture of him but I believe I got him on camera earlier in the season. Small fork on tip of left beam and larger fork on the tip of right beam. Either way congrats on a beautiful animal. Send me a PM and i'll tell you the...
Another pack stolen from Payson? Someone else just posted about a stolen Kifaru pack from Payson this month? Its sad. My folks are originally from there 25 years ago and you used to be able to leave your houses unlocked and your keys in the ignition.
Edit: Nevermind, i'm an idiot. Went back to...
I was up last weekend helping a buddy on this hunt and to say its tough is an understatement. We saw a couple decent bulls some hunters hauled out of a nasty canyon but generally the hunters we talked to said they haven't had much luck this year. The late 22 rifle hunts are getting harder and...
I put a normal diamondback scope on a Savage .22 and wish I had gone with the rimfire version. For close shots the paralax like you mention is not ideal. I think you made a good choice.
