You have to apply for a point or a tag and pay the license fee($469) plus habitat stamp fee($10). If you do not draw they will send your money back minus the application fee($3), PP fee($40) and Habitat stamp fee($10) so it will cost you $53 in the end.
If I was gonna go through the trouble to add a nest to one of the small floorless shelters I would consider going with a lightweight tent from Tarptent or Big Agnes. Just seems like that would be much more user friendly.
According to what I have read, they can only take possession of your equipment if it was used to kill an animal. If caught before taking an animal they will only ticket you with fine and license points.
Just make sure your modules are not black and you are fine.
I hope they get something going on the Megatarp after they get caught up on this frame issue. The new Mega was supposed to be available on July 27th. Its still not available and no updates are being provided.
