Not sure you know this tenth but you were just replied to by one of Kifarus paid reps (and a down right nice feller) and the owner/designer of Stone Glacier. Where else but on Rokslide?! Thanks guys.
Its a little noisy but the REI Venturi pant has been awesome this year. Used it deer hunting in the Rubies and now elk hunting outside Vegas and they have been solid. I can't believe I have not ripped a hole in them on the brush. Fabric is very strong but thin. Best part is I got them on sale...
Would the PH-111v work with the big Zeiss? Spec is for up to 4.4lbs and my Zeiss is 5.75lbs. It looks like a good head and at a good price. I currently use a Sirui ball head and it has got to go!
Sucks that happened to you Jim. Wish i could make it up there with you this weekend. It really is a part of hunting that sooner or later all of us will experience.
Not since basic training in the Army 20 years ago. And I did a lot of research to come up with the lightest, warmest and roomiest bag I could find because I believe you are correct. :-) I decided I would just have to carry a little extra weight here n there.
I was just as surprised as you fellas that it was too small for me. I bought it because I respect and appreciate everyones opinion on here and will continue to do so. I'm not huge, 6' and 180lbs. Didn't make it out of the house after I got it. Just experimenting with the Montbell in the living...
I bought the Montbell but found it to be very constrictive. Sold it and got a Feathered Friends Puffin. Very comfortable bag and great quality. Comparable to a WM bag.
Yep. I had a rifle tag for 262 last year and watched the bulls quit bugling and disappear days before my hunt. They should still be hanging with the cows for muzzleloader season.
I grew up in Ellensburg and hunted the Naneum and Colockum area for years. Sad to think whats going to happen to those herds. If only common sense could prevail over emotion.
