Good advice to look at EE quilts. I'm thinking hard about getting the Convert myself as it should cover a wide array of temps and be able to be opened up a bit if your feeling a lil mummy anxiety.
I've hunted the Rubies many times where water was plentiful but decided to branch out this year. I was scouting in August and had a close call with dehydration when only packing in 5 liters for an overnight trip. Nevada desert is ruthless in the summer and I sure didn't feel like the water in...
I get the same numbness. I always just assumed I was pinching off some blood flow. Never causes any pain. Just numbness of the left front-outer thigh. I've had it with a bikini and a REI pack. Goes away shortly after loosening or taking off the pack.
I bought some fabric at Walmart and pinned it together how I wanted it with paracord through the bottom edge. Took that to a alterations guy and he sewed it up for $15. I do still have the original rubber cup on to but it falls off constantly when in your pack so this goes over and cinches it...

Just back today from a scouting trip. Definitely seeing the differences in the pics by adjusting the settings and appreciate all the help. I only wish it told me what the settings were when i get home and view the pics on the computer! Very happy withe vids I'm getting with this setup...
Great info. Thank you so much for explaining this stuff. Unfortunately the new Olympus TG3 I just bought does not appear to have the ability to be manually focused or the shutter speed adjusted. Since I bought it just for digiscoping that kinda bums me out. I hope the auto settings and adjusting...
I run my KUIU harness with 8x32 Zeiss and have been pretty happy with it. Focus knob gets hung up when putting them back in but thats pretty minor. I can see how you guys taking them off to mount them on a tripod would definitely have a problem.
I watched the video on the nuyarn and they said it will not have anything but merino. Pretty sure I need some for my September Nevada muzzleloader hunt :)
