I think the OP mentioned he was considering a horse trailer with LQ. If this is the case I would bet he is fine with the roads. Nothing some chains on the trailer tires can't fix.

I print out a dope card for the location I am hunting to 500 yards. It takes a little longer than a CDS style turret but it is more precise especially out at longer yardages. After 500 I plug in to app. If I don't have time to do that I don't have time to make a good shot.

It all depends how much you want to spend. A reasonably priced gooseneck stock trailer is a Maverick. They run around 12k new. If you want the best get a Wilson, they are extremely tough and hold their value greatly. They run around 20k new.
For length it all depends how far you are going. You...
I ran a DT3 for a while for scouting and short trips. It's a great pack for these situations. It can pack an elk out in multiple trips. You will have to bone it out or keep it outside of the pack.

This is what I use as well. Works great for what I use it for. Very solid. I actually keep it clipped on the bottom of my shoulder sling. It always stays handy.

Absolutely. The 270 is a great round that kills many animals every year. With a good bullet and staying within your limits you will be fine.

Have had great experiences from schnees every time I get something from them. Very helpful people for sure. Never had to use their customer support but I would imagine it is second to none. Great people and great products.

Just curious what issues you have had. I have 2 sets of binos, a spotter and 4 scopes from cheap to not and never had any issues. I'm tough on gear too. Daughter had her rifle fall directly on the scope checked zero and it never moved.

Either bullet would be fine for what you are wanting it to do. I would try both and see what one the gun likes. The accubonds would probably be easier to find in a factory round. Getting out to the 600 yard ballpark I would recommend the 215 hybrid. But I am a little Bias towards that bullet...
I have not used both enough to give an opinion on terminal performance of both. I can say I have been extremely happy with bergers. With kills at 756, 525 and 545 this year I am quite impressed. I had an opportunity at a deer at less than a 100 yards and passed up on it due to it being the first...
I know at first the LRAB were way off on their BCs. The Bergers do generally have a higher, true BC. For the shots you are taking BC's really won't matter though. I would stick with what's working for you.

I don't like to comment on these threads too much since they usually turn in to a pissing match. But here are couple things I have noticed.
I am not better than I was 8 years ago. My healthcare has skyrocketed. My wages have increased just slightly due to COL. I am taxed at a higher rate. My...
I personally started packing this in my kill kit.
Sometimes I kill an animal and it is muddy or dirty. I would never mount a dirty animal so would you all please make sure you use a good shampoo and conditioner on the hide before you take pictures![emoji12]
I went with the 624 and have used it for 4 years now with no regrets. I'm 5'10" and with an angled scope and the center post all the way up I can glass standing up. I have never had to do it but tried it when I first got it.

Get the Swarovski if you can afford it. I have the razor and love it but it isn't Swarovski.
I have never had to use the warranty and I am hard on gear.
