Anybody get a Slik 624 and wish they had a 634?

I'm planning on buying a Slik 624 or 634 in the coming months.
I almost never glass standing, and I can't recall even one instance where I needed to glass standing this year.
That being said, the cost of a 634 and weight penalty are minor to me.
Anybody regret going with the smaller of the two?
I also noticed other online vendors seem to be carrying the twist lock versions of the Slik's now. I thought S&S had an exclusive deal with Slik? Doesn't really matter, I'll likely buy from S&S next time I'm in Boise.

Yes I bought a 624 and I like it. But I wish I would have bought a 634!

I have both with TL. I use the 634 99% of the time. You don't have to adjust it as much while sitting and can use it standing.

I have the 624CFL and very happy with it, I mainly sit to glass...but fully extended and an angled scope works fine too, but I'm 5'11"...not 6'4" :)

I have the 624 and have zero regrets but I don't stand much when glassing and I haven't used a tall tripod so I guess you can't miss what you haven't tried. I have zero desire to upgrade from the 624.

I got a 634 and have never wished it was a 624. I say go taller. You might just find more opportunity to glass standing when you can.

I went with the 624 and have used it for 4 years now with no regrets. I'm 5'10" and with an angled scope and the center post all the way up I can glass standing up. I have never had to do it but tried it when I first got it.

Can you remove the lower legs on the 634 for backpacking and still have a functional sitting tripod?

I got a few PMs on the size difference collapsed. I'll just post them here.

These were just made for the outdoorsmans heads, add another 7.5oz for a micro or 11oz for a reg pan head.

Huge fan of the Slik tripods. I've had a 634 and 624. I sold the 634 and regret it every time I'm out. I think I might get another 634 this year though. I run an Outdoorsman pan head and the combo is by far the best priced setup you can get.
