    Kuiu Proximity Review

Appreciate the review and real life field report. Question on the pants, how much room is there to layer underneath? Your dimensions are similar to mine but i tend to wear a 36 in kuiu pants. I dont want to buy a 34 if they would be tight and unable to wear a heavier mid layer underneath for...

SWFA marketing getting out of hand

The best part about the pictures is they say “20 minutes a day is rquivalent to:” 60 minutes if swimming 2000m run 60-90 minutes yoga 2 weeks of balanced diet So these idiots are claiming swimming for 60 minutes is the same as running for less than a mile and a half? Some tricky math there i...

    SITKA Ambient Collection

I was very impressed woth how the ambient jacket shed 10-15mph winds, to the point i felt no influx from coolness with simply a short sleeve shirt on. Temps were low to mid 50’s, very comfortable. I also was impressed with the dwr on the jacket as it shed some light rain without problem. I...

Am I being too nit picky?

Nah, i am just that good…. Lol, sorry, was writing that while in fhe airport after a week in ireland, driving on the wrong side of the road and the wrong side of the car messed up my brain more than just for driving 😂

Am I being too nit picky?

In your situation movement will be the thing that sticks out. Minimize that as much as possible and you should he fine wearing whatever camo/non-camo you want. Scent is also ultra important so make sure you always approach from the upwind side of things. A deer alerted from a scent it doesnt...

Am I being too nit picky?

Yep. That is not outside the normal for variance i wouldn’t think. But camo isnt for animals, its for humans. The pattern will break up your outline but it isnt camouflaging you from animals

You could rent some glass too, get a chance to try some different glass without the price to buy. Just a suggestion

Signing up with guide services: What questions to ask during the phone call.

My impression from most reputable outfitters is they charge a fee whether it is a successful harvest or not. There is no guarantee in hunting. It is also my understanding that most reputable outfitters will take reasonable measures to give a client that had no reasonable chance for success...

Free standing tent that actually fits 2people

I have a nemo losi 3p, easily fits two with gear and is pretty dang easy to set up and pretty resistant to a lot of the issues people complain about the copper spur line (high winds, sagging in snow, etc). Nemo discontinued the line but they can be found in the used market.

SG De Havilland pant new size fit

I didnt try on the dehaviland pants, but i did go to a scheels to try on some helio bottoms. I am almost same dimensions as the OP. The large helio was just too big. I ended up getting a medium and with the stretch they fit perfect. I think for my body, the med/large size pants would he perfect.

    Kowa 773 Tripod?

I recently made the dive into the big boy glass too with a Kowa 884, and bought an innorel gt324C tripod with a 44mm ball head it came with....very sturdy, closes down tight, and relatively lightweight. Easily used sitting or standing. I don't know about longevity, but seems to do the job so...

How to balance a Swarovski ATX with 115mm lens

It begs the question, what type of head are you using that can't balance the 115? some of the smaller pan heads are not designed to work with such a big optic, and you may need to move up into a sizeable ball head or something with some meat to be able to get the swaro 115 to be useable...

    Sitka puffy

And dont forget about the WS——wind stopper. The WS is a wind proof jacket that has amazing insulating properties, where the other two do not have a wind stopper membrane in them. The three jackets are designed for different purposes, so depending on what you are looking for, each can have a...

    Kuiu axis pant sizing?

They make some of their pants in. Short version, not sure if the axis hubrid pants offer that, but i am 5’10” and wear the standard size just fine. A couple inches of extra doesn’t kill me and it doesnt drag on the ground. The axis pants for me fit almost identical to the attacks. Not any...

    RRS Cinch VS Aziak Clamp

Will third (or fourth) for the aziak clamp. Very solid on its own, and very low profile. There is a screw in the bottom of the clamp if you wanted to add a larger profile arca plate or something to it, but it is not necessary at all as it is rock solid by itself. I have the polymer one and...

    New spotter

I also used the kowa at night to watch the night sky, its decently dark at my ranch and had some amazing views of the half moon from last night, then turned to jupiter and then neptune. I could aee neptunes ring through the scope. Way cool. These lics didn’t show up anywhere near as good as...
