Hey guys, I just got a pair of Leica geovid 3200.com’s and need a tripod adapter for them. I’ve narrowed it to these two. I like the price and weight of the Aziaks but know RRS makes bomb proof stuff. Just wondering what you guys opinion on these were. Thanks.

I just purchased an RRS Cinch Elite for my Kowa Genesis 10.5x44 binos. They are rock solid - you know that you are getting something quality with RRS. While expensive, I figured it would be silly to cheap out on a mount and potentially create a less stable platform.

No experience with the other brand.

Agreed. I bought the original RRS Cinch for my Kowa 10.5X44s going on 4 years ago. It clamps like a vice. The adjustable strap and cam means no tools to carry or lose. Since I've owned it, I've never given a thought about my bino/tripod connection being solid enough. Its dead simple and reliable. And its slick, in and out of my bino harness

I also concur with kthomas, it is a bit spendy. But they make a cheaper polymer version now, and it gets good reviews.

I too have no experience with Aziaks.

The aziak is legit. No need to remove it i just leave it on all the time. Slides in and out of my bino harness, dont even notice its on

I have the polymer cinch and really like it. i placed it on my ELs and have no issue going in and out of harness. since i am mainly a whitetail guy in hard woods, i don't need tripod most of time so i like the easy on and off. i keep it on for the elk woods.

I have the Aziak. It’s cheap, slim, fits in the bino case, and is at no risk of breaking or failing. It’s a no brainer.

Will third (or fourth) for the aziak clamp. Very solid on its own, and very low profile.

There is a screw in the bottom of the clamp if you wanted to add a larger profile arca plate or something to it, but it is not necessary at all as it is rock solid by itself. I have the polymer one and it is great in the tripod.

I have the rrs polymer cinch and the aziak clamp. Both were used on a pair of EL’s. I bought the azaik after the cinch because of the lower profile. I find the cinch more versatile . No tools needed to remove the cinch and one thing I did not realize till after use is when glassing to sharp left or right the binos horizontal plane needs adjustment. It is easier with the cinch. Also there is a slight flex to the aizaik clamp, I still trust it will not fail. Just two things I noticed. Haven’t decided witch of the two I will keep.

What did you end up deciding? I’m debating between the two right now. Will binos with the cinch on still fit in most bino harnesses?

I still have both but I use the aziak on the EL’s because the weight and low profile. Also the price is right. The cinch did fit in my hill people gear medium bino pouch but was somewhat tight. The aziak is way lower profile.

Check my post on that thread. Fits fine in my Alaska Guide Creations harness.
