    Creepy experiences in the backcountry

Would be interesting to see your footage if it's possible. I know guys who have seen things that could only be attributed to being a bigfoot.

    Grizzly’s or not?

That could be the case too.

    Grizzly’s or not?

To have 4 big cubs like that shows she's a great mother. Not only is she good at finding food but her aggressive streak kept the boars from killing any cubs.

    Grizzly’s or not?

Yes, 100% grizzlies. That sure is a pile of them together.

    Trijicon Huron

Thanks for the reviews everyone and please keep them coming. I'm liking the looks of the Credo and Huron scopes so it's nice to hear they are proving durable. Pretty sure my next purchase will be a Trijicon. I fell hard last year on the ice and my scope of another brand was 8" high the next...

Thanks, the 175 gr TGK seems to be quite popular.

    6.8 Western Brass

Hodgdon hasn't updated their online data yet as of this afternoon but I will watch out for it. Sounds like it will be a good one.

You must have a fast twist barrel. I almost went with the 270 WSM but went 6.8 Western instead. You should be able to get a bit more speed with yours though. I agree the 270 WSM is a great cartridge, great down range performance without a ton of recoil. You kill anything yet with those 175 gr...

    6.8 Western Brass

I heard something about it. Sounds promising I'll have to check it out.

    6.8 Western Brass

We can get Winchester too since they are in the Hodgdon family of powders. I would like to try Stabal HD in mine at some point. We have to watch for all these powders here and jump on them when they come available. Right now MagPro and H 4831 SC are available in my small town.

    6.8 Western Brass

We can get IMR, Hodgdon and Accurate powders fairly easy, see some Ramshot too. Alliant is impossible to get. I'm starting my reloading with Magnum and MagPro. MagPro with the175 gr TGK and Magnum with the 170 gr Ballistic Tip are looking good so far. In the summer I'll start work with the 170...

    6.8 Western Brass

For sure. You can make good ammo with the regular brass too. We just can't get it here lol.

    6.8 Western Brass

Here in Canada we haven't been able to even get W-W 6.8 W brass. ADG is much more available in other rounds so I'm sure it will be much easier to get. I do like premium brass though since it generally lasts a long time and it's easier to get accurate loads too.

    6.8 Western Brass

Great news Lou. I'll be putting in my order as soon as they let us do so. Heard nothing but good about ADG, this should solve the biggest complaint that some have had. Heard lots of guys say they were interested in the 6.8 Western but wanted premium brass.

    300 WSM load recommendation

Wow that's a lot of speed, is that typical with the Hammer's? Great group by the way.

    Creepy experiences in the backcountry

Haha I can picture that. Can also relate to watching sasquatch stuff before going out hunting and then wondering why I was on edge lol. Have to say birds are the worst sometimes.........

    Creepy experiences in the backcountry

One weird one was about 2 or so years ago, just walking in the forest mushroom picking on a beautiful and calm day. Out of nowhere a small tree fell or was tossed about 30-40 yards away. I just said out loud we're leaving and we did. Was pretty strange since there was no reason I could see that...

    Creepy experiences in the backcountry

Had a few strange encounters but nothing scared me as much as when I was a kid walking an old logging road. I was just walking normally and literally from under my foot exploded a grouse and took off. I couldn't even form any words it scared me out so bad, only gibberish came out lol.

Smaller Bore Match Bullets for Brown Bear or Moose (and other big critters)

You definitely can kill a grizzly with a 223 given a good shot into the vitals. Having to defend yourself from a bear is a whole different ball game. Those who don't have experience hunting big bears are the ones who think a small bore gun is a good idea. Those of us who do have experience know...
