Wow that's a lot of speed, is that typical with the Hammer's? Great group by the way.
Hammer bullets are designed for max velocities. I got speeds even faster but didn't group well. For Hammers you find the pressure signs 1st, back off .5 or so, THEN start developing the load.

I’m shooting 63.7 grains of h4350 and Speer 190 grain. 126 rounds through the gun. And getting speeds averaging 2880 fps. In new to this and a buddy has been helping substantially. But it’s what works for my gun. Would love to hear what you end up with!

I have experimented with several powders and a couple bullets. 200 gr ELDx shot well with Ramshot Hunter and Reloder 19. My Winchester model 70 preferred Accurate 2520 powder. I will have to check specifics for Ramshot and Accurate powders. Reloder 19 works great around 64 to 66 gr powder for 165 gr TSX in my rifles. We have several 300 WSM rifles......I currently have 64.5 gr of H4350 under 165 gr TSX moving around 3125 FPS with BTO of 2.252.

What is your end goal, so many options with a .308 bullet and all the powders out there. Seems like you just want crap thrown at the wall and see what sticks.

215 bergers RL26 BR2 primers 2,963ft/s.

I use H4350 and Berger 168's. I've tried Nosler brass and Lapua brass but the best for my rifle is good ole Federal. I'm sitting in a hotel at the moment so I can't remember specifics of my 300WSM load, but its ben good to me for several years. I do know I'm north of 3100FPS. I do plan in the near future on breaking up with Berger's for hunting. Of all the game taken with this load the bullet never expands. I've killed from 100 out to 820 yards and its nothing but a pinhole.

Tikka T3 lite, older model. Winchester brass (not the greatest, but it was a gun show great price), 200gr ELDX, REM LRM primers, and RL17 produced low deviation, good accuracy, and excellent down range performance on both deer species and a cow elk.

My go-to load is 175gr lrx’s over 64.5gr IMR4350 in Hornady brass. Going 2960fps out of a 24” Tikka t3x. Consistent 3/4” groups.

I've loaded for like 5 different 300wsm now.
everyone has shot under .75moa with 63-64.5gr H4350 and 180gr accubonds or 178gr ELDX
I'm currently using 64gr H4350 and 178gr ELDX doing 2925 with a 20" barrel.
H100V will work as well.
H4831SC also is very accurate but not as fast as H4350 with 180's
if you want to shoot heavier than 180's H4831SC and H100V will be better than H4350.
Also, if you want some extra speed Superformance will outrun H4350 by about 100fps i just haven't played around with it too much cause primers are hard to find.

Good advice but throw Hunter in the mix as well with those under 180.

I have a custom rifle and I have a 20” proof on it. I reloaded for the 200gr ELDx. I got 2,760fps with my H-4350 loads. The barrel is broke in. I do like the shorter barrel because I shoot a TBAC Ultra 9 gen 2 suppressor. I am going to try 175gr Barnes LRX this year and try to get them to 3,100fps with H4350 or H4831SC. I shot a deer at 60yrds and the ELDX didn’t pass through. I also didn’t like the recoil needed to get it moving that fast. If I can get 3,100fps or close to it with the Barnes, then I’d can essentially get the same effective range as the 200gr ELDX and with a pass through.

Follow up with some speeds for a shorte barrel. I hope it helps.

I’m just getting back from the range. I have a 20” Proof cut for a Terminus Zeus SA QC, TBAC Ultra 9 Gen 2 shooting the 175gr LRX at 2,885fps, 50mils off the lands. 64gr H4350. The rifle seems to really love it. I tried higher charges but I’m getting stupid consistency. One session of 4rd had a 4.4SD and the next 4rds had a 2.7SD. I’m done. It’s like one hole too.

I tried H4831SC in same session and I couldn’t get any speed before I was compressing it too much.

I decided I didn’t want to shoot the 200gr ELDX. They don’t penetrate like I wanted.

For guys loading h4350, how is the case fill? I’m building a 20” with a +p throat, throated for 215s and looking at different powders. Haven’t found ANY data whatsoever. Talked to all the guys who should know… etc… thinking 4831sc will run out of room before I get to pressure. Also have vvn550/555 on hand, but was curious as to 4350 case fill. Also curious about Staball 6.5.

I think you will run out of room using H4831 and I would bet you need a longer barrel to make it work better too.

I'm at almost 100% fill. I did get a crunch with the 175gr LRX but I am definitely close to full with H4350.

I'd try the VV N550/555 and I am curious about the Staball 6.5. I wonder if you can get more speed with less pressure. I wonder if it can fill the space better than H4350.
