Anyone tried the Speer Impact Bullets yet?

@menhaden_man hope you let us know how they shoot for you. Good looking bullet.

Anyone tried the Speer Impact Bullets yet?

These are on my list to try. Sounds like they perform well and are accurate. At one time they had a 150 gr 277 and would like to the 140 gr 6.5 mm as well.

OFFICIAL Peterson Cartridge Customer Support Thread

Awesome news. Makes sense though to come out with the 270 and 300 WSM first since there are a lot of those rifles out there.

Slot in the 6.8 Western early next year. You'll have all your major work done after the 270 and 300 WSM this year.

    Bear Adventure in BC

Maybe I missed it but what general area of our province did you end up hunting in? You definitely made the right choice in using your guides rifle instead of your bow. Pretty tough to get close to big old smart bears.

Trichinosis, be honest, have you gotten it?

Yes it sure has helped us the last couple of years. Good to know it can help with trichinosis too.

    I want a 6.8 Western…but…

Guy's here probably would shoot deer on up with those. Probably would do pretty well too.

    I want a 6.8 Western…but…

You're right but I don't know much about it. Being a Sierra I bet it shoots though.

    I want a 6.8 Western…but…

It was supposed to be an inexpensive load kind of like the Hornady Interlock factory loads (American Whitetail?) they put out bit for some reason they screwed that load up. Hopefully the Browning 170 gr plated is better in that inexpensive category. All the rest of the loads are decent but the...

    I want a 6.8 Western…but…

On the Facebook 6.8 Western sites I'm on (there's two I know of) the Browning 175 gr Sierra TGK factory load is the most accurate on average in a variety of guns. I handload that bullet and it was easy to get excellent accuracy with it. My custom Tikka hates the Winchester 165 gr ABLR factory...

Turkeys in the Snow with the .410

With the new Hogue stock it sounds perfect for a young hunter and as a bonus you have your full size stock for when she gets older.

Turkeys in the Snow with the .410

Super cool, congrats! What .410 did you end up buying? Hopefully your daughter will be ready next year.

    I want a 6.8 Western…but…

Get a good recoil pad if that one is hard and go hunting, the 270 is an awesome round too. I would ignore the 223 cultists and use what you have.

    300 wsm 190 impact

The more I think about it based on my experience with 180's I would try H 4831 SC first.

    300 wsm 190 impact

Don't have anything to help you with but have thought this bullet would be an excellent choice in a 300 WSM even in the 1 in 11 Tikkas. Be just as good in your 1 in 9 twist.

    Help identifying a Weatherby rifle

The Carbonmark is a good looking rifle, that cheek riser needs to go however.

Interesting information, thanks. I like those short barreled X Bolts, yours is shooting well.

    Help identifying a Weatherby rifle

Carbonmark with an added cheek riser? That's my guess.
