    Can you change your username??

"You are also referring to the New Testament which itself has been translated into many languages and various cultures for sure, but the message has never changed- ever." - While the overall intent of the message may not have deviated much, the text certainly has changed. Not all of the books...

    Can you change your username??

A friend of mine who is Jewish showed me that years ago, and he continues to bug me that there is still time to convert.

    Can you change your username??

I don't have that feeling because I don't worry about when my time to take a dirt nap will come. I feel pretty dang good about my life and I'm confident that the organic matter that I'm made up of will be returned to the ecosystem where my body will be disposed of by my next of kin. Funny you...

    Can you change your username??

I have no problem with people questioning and challenging my beliefs. I am an atheist myself and have been since the age of 8 (I was a huge nerd and spent way too much time reading peer reviewed scientific journal articles, and followed it up with reading many versions of the Christian bible...

    270 Weatherby Ultralight experiences

The first rifle I purchased was a Mark V stainless in a 270 Weatherby. It was my primary rifle for 12 years and I used it to shoot animals from pronghorn to elk and moose. While the 270 calibre does suffer from a lack of bullet choice in comparison to 7mm and 308, it is still a great...

    270 Weatherby Ultralight experiences

RC refers to range certified, where it has been certified to shoot sub-moa.

    Can you change your username??

Haha, have to agree. Some of the comments on here make me worry for the future of humanity. Fortunately it has been a civil debate for the most part. I have to side with the OP and agree that this thread should be locked before people misinterpret some of the comments.

    NHL Playoffs

Tough not seeing the 'Hawks in the playoffs for a change, and cousins didn't make it to the postseason. So I guess I'm going to have to pull for the Leafs in the east and Preds in the west.

    Paper tune

Was actually making something very similar today. Gave my nephews (ages 4 and 6) their first bows today and realized they need a target too.

Did Kimber switch the Montana to an aluminum trigger guard?

Sodbuster, sent you a PM. I have an extra trigger guard sitting on my reloading bench.

    The Canadian Outdoor Equipment Co.

I've ordered from them a number of times, of course with the difference that I live in Canada. They've generally been pretty good, but the one thing I would warn about is the restocking fee they charge if you have to exchange or return anything.

Help me pick out a scotch/cognac/bourbon

Have to agree with previous posts about Balvenie portwood, the bruichladdich octomore, and dalmore 12 (the elk on the bottle is an added bonus!). And I have to agree with Dusty about the -1 on the blue label, every time I've tried it I end up feeling disappointed. It tastes bland to me, but if...

Is a Big 3 65mm going to be better than an 85mm middle class?

I had a Viper HD 80mm scope, then upgraded to a Razor, and finally last year upgraded to a Swaro ATX 65. The clarity of the Swaro compared with the other two is noticeably better. While the Razor was a good scope for the price I got it for, it's performance declined as a person would turn up...

10 day backpacking dall sheep hunt

The alpinlite should be okay. I've used mine in the NWT for field work through the summer and into September. I've had mine in temps down to -15 C and wearing my base layers it was easily warm enough.

    ATX 65 vs ATS 80

I had the chance to spend a day comparing the two before purchasing...and also had the 95 along for the ride. The ATS 80 did have a little bit of an advantage at sunrise for light gathering, but it was minute. To me the ATX 65 had better edge to edge clarity and I found the eye piece to be...

Garmin Rink 650 vs Rino 530HCX

They were both similar in acquisition time. I used to guide up in the Canadian Arctic and the further north I traveled the worse the radio functioned. In either BC or Saskatchewan the radio worked great on either, although I did have the US version which has a 5 watt rather than 2 watt...

Garmin Rink 650 vs Rino 530HCX

I've had both, only the 530 hcx is still around. The 530 has only had one real hiccup and it was resolved by plugging it into my computer and reinstalling the mapping software. I bought the 650 to try out and because I got a smokin deal on it through Garmin Canada's guide program. The touch...

    Nightforce Magnification opinions

I have one rifle that wears a NXS 5.5-22 and another that has a 3.5-15. While I do love the 5.5-22 for ringing steel at long distances it rarely sees the field, partially due to that particular rifle's weight, but also because the 3.5-15 will do almost everything the 5.5-22 will do when...

    270 caliber for elk

For years my go to hunting rifle was a 270 WBY and it performed more than adequately on numerous whitetail, mule deer, elk and moose. Both bullets mentioned, 150 gr NPT and 140 Accubonds have performed great on animals out to 560 yards from that rifle.
