    Used truck value question???

One thing with common rails is the injectors are expensive. Plan on 3-4k if neither of those truck have had them done, they are over do for a set. 150-200k is common with good filtration for a set to last on average. I’ve seen stocks flow well into the 350k and I’ve seen stock crap out at 15k...

    Used truck value question???

I get offered stupid money all the time for my 99 farm truck. Granted it’s a fully built engine and trans and a sleeper truck, but they bring insane money. I posted last year, I sold my 07 5.9, 6 speed common rail. I also built that truck very well. Built engine and trans, I had 120k on the...

Charleston, SC—things to do & see?

The musems are awesome, south of broad is fun to to walk around. I alway run in the mornings along the battery and do a big loop. Will be fun since you like to work out. Insane amount of food and bars if you’re into that. Plenty of history in the city and things to do. Cool thing about...

    Recurve better for shoulder injury?

Recurve and longbow is way easier to draw and let down then a compound. If you shoot a rotational draw and proper back muscles it’s easy. I hate the the transition and dumps into the valley on the compounds. No idea how guys are shooting these 85-90 percent let off. The let down with rip your...

    Arrow penetration

Being a die hard trad guy I’ve tried the heavy arrows, the trajectory is terrible. Current set up the last few years has resulted in all pass through. 26 inch draw, 50lb longbow at my draw length, 500 grain arrow. 10 grains per pound, 42 yard point on. I know I will get shit for this. I’ve taken...

    Bourbon

I was always into fitness being in the Marine Corps but I took it to heart and made it a lifestyle change. 4 am running and weights, shoot the longbow and compounds daily, and really focus on my kids. Have a 2.5 yr old and 8 month old little girls. Had my best season last year, no hang overs...

    Bourbon

Been sober and off it for over 2 years. Hands down the best thing I’ve done in my life was give it up. I think one year I spent like 25-30k on bourbon alone, it was bad. From years of being a functional drunk I can honestly say I don’t miss it one bit, and can’t believe I spent the money I did...

    Draw length/efficiency ?

Shoot me a pm, I’ve had over 30 short draw specific bows back in my compound days. Will be glad to fill ya in with tuning and review info with number, I’ve kept a journal of all of them with arrow weight and speeds, animals I killed, etc. a draw length specific mod and cam is much much more...

    Short Draw length elk setup.

That’s gotta be with 70lb mods which is still cooking. I’m a 26 inch draw. Have had every short draw bow every made it seems like. I have tons of tuning and reviews on archeytalk from my compound days. My all time favorites are the bowtech equalizer and #1 cam Hoyt’s, nitrum turbo and nitrum...

    Arrow penetration

I’ve killed over 100 critters with the compounds, mostly deer and pigs. 26 inch draw, 60-70 lbs and 400-425 grain arrow with a fixed blade. Had one mature buck I shoulder shot that I didn’t recover, the rest have almost always been a pass through. When I tried mechs the pass through rate went...

    3 blade broadhead recommendations

I only have a 25.5-26 inch draw and will chase elk and mulies with my 50lb at 26 stalker coyote with a 500 grain arrow and the vpa 1 1/8. I know most guys say you need higher draw weight and arrow weight but I’ve yet to have an issue, knock on wood.

    Stalker Stickbows????

Anyone regret going from 3500/2500 series to a 1500 series?

Have no need but wouldn’t hesitate with the right trailer and set up. You can get the 3.5 or the 5.0 and be rated to 14-15k with max tow and some other configurations. I know plenty of guys that haul 8–12k with the 3.5 and all very pleased with the power and ability to tow.

    3 blade broadhead recommendations

All I shoot is the 250 grain vpa 1 1/8. Dozens of critters with then and almost always a pass through. They are bomb proof, hold a great edge and super easy to sharpen with just a file and piece of leather.

    Dry January

Same no added sugar for over a year. I will eat fruit but nothing processed. I’m in better shape at 36 then I was at 18 in the Marine Corps. Lifts are better, sleep is better, mental health is better, all around a better father, husband and person in general.

    Dry January

Haven’t had a drink since August, the quiting drinking thread on here and huberman podcast literally changed my life. Best decision I’ve made for my mind and body.
