I'm just giving you some shit, man. There's about a million different pasty recipes up here and everyone thinks theirs is the best. And they're all right. Ford vs Chevy kind of stuff. Cool to have connections to the area. There's no shortage of Pietila's up here that's for sure.
There ain't no ground pork or hamburger in a pasty! It's ground sirloin steak. A thousand dead Finnlander grandmas just rolled over in their graves with that comment :ROFLMAO:
Well shit, that's not bad at all.
Lake of the Clouds is worth the stop. While in that area you've got a lot of options:
-Silver City if you want to take a swim. Superior is unusually warm this year.
-Black River Harbor has a ton of hiking trails around a lot of falls. Water levels are a...
Sounds like you've got a lot of time spent on this. I went through a lot of similar thoughts when I hit your age. Kind of mid-life crisis sort of feelings really. My only suggestion is to really make sure you're not trading one set of problems for another. Is fiscally responsible spending...
Wife has a 2024 Outback Wilderness. So far so good after 16,000 miles. I think it checks all of your boxes except the cargo space. I would be pretty surprised if you could get two intermediate kennels in the back of that and still have room for 3 people but that's just my guess. Durability...
I was there last year as I too had hunted it prior to the fires. Think miles and miles of bare, scorched earth with all the hunters that used to hunt there consolidated into the edges of the burn where there's some regrowth. You couldn't pay me to go back to that area but YMMV.
My wife has had two Traverse now. First one was a 2018 that we picked up used. It was good until we started having electrical issues with safety stuff. The sensors on the mirrors were going out and needed replacement to the tune of over $1200 each and a few other little gremlins like that...
Jerry moved on to another shop. Looking at Archery Talk he's at Straight Shooter Custom Arrows. You could try giving him a call there.

Museums are a must. Just pick the ones that interest you the most and allocate time.
Mt Vernon was one of my favorite stops. I just like being immersed in that kind of history.
All the war memorials around the mall are a must see.
Arlington Cemetery and changing of the guard would also be a...
I've bought and sold dozens of bows now. I've never once used a warranty. Call me lucky or whatever, I just don't think it's as big of a deal as people make it out to be.
I had my first done a few months ago at the age of 45. Few days of diet changes as mentioned above. Prep was simple. A few dulcolax pills and a bottle of miralax mixed with a few bottles of clear Gatorade. Was honestly expecting much worse. Procedure was quick and no discomfort. That first...
A guy I used to work with did this same thing. Kind of chuckled when I saw it, but the more I see it the more it makes sense. Pretty solid workhorse there.
