how do you get this?
Mostly agree, except I couldn't quite call it pass through from the video.
The shot placement looked good and arrow looked deep, I think it was walking dead after first shot and just a tough ass animal.
As for follow up shots, not sure what people disagree with there...

I haven't tried it, but considered it.
Currently, If I need something done that requires a press I go the shop, but I'll walk back and broadhead tune with nock and rest adjustments.
Which stock is that? I like
We have the cva accura mrx and it brakes down to 2 stock parts and barrel quickly and fits in pack.
We've hunted the CO season the last two years, but haven't stayed overnight with rain. I would just throw a ziploc baggie over the end with a hair band or...
How light weight you talking?
Doesn't get much quicker than a basic dome tent... we only do extra guy lines when expecting weather.
We usually use a Coleman evanston 8p dome tent,(23lbs if I remember) it has a screen porch which is nice to cover some gear and it's usually wife and 3kids. 3...
My 11yo just took a cow elk with the 130grn barnes reduced recoil. Probably not what you're looking for. I would shoot heavier myself.
But it did do well. The shot was around 100-130yds broadside, blew through and she didn't make it more than 60yds.
Just an FYI in case anyone is...
What's your setup and what does it weigh? I want to find something worth carrying for grouse when muzzy hunting with the family. I usually shoot them with my bow, but this year I didn't have a tag and wasn't carrying it.
agree
Heck, I popped one with my 9mm on our last morning of chasing elk with the muzzy. I don't think would affect the elk unless you were within a few hundred yards of them.
If you have the time I'd do archery, a lot more days to the season. Less pressure at archery opener than after deer and elk hunters have been pushing around.
I did shoot my muley last year, with a bow, during the muzzy season while trying to get my wife on a muzzy bull, still in velvet on the...
I like replacement blades cause I suck at sharpening and it's less to do and carry in the field. I like the OE 3.5 and also now bring a 5" blade too. Never liked the scalpel ones, but I might try again if I'm only deer hunting and not elk.
Yea, its in the plan, not sure what we'll spearfish for, hopefully something worth shooting that we can get to from the bank or my daughter's paddle board.
We'll be in South Florida from mid Oct to beginning of Dec for work.
What are some must see/ do things in the area? Any hunting worth taking advantage of that time?
We are planning on checking out the keys, everglades and dry tortugas NP.
I'd like to try some peacock bass. The kids want...
Spent a few days in late june 23' bear hunting and never saw a big game animal. We did find some nice trout and beautiful scenery though.
Hope you found what you were looking for.
We settled on the fiber optic, like mentioned, make sure it's milled out to gather light. Additionally I silver sharpeed the rear face of the front sight to add some contrast when looking thru the peep.
Maybe for its own thread, but for you guys that are frequently switching site tapes, Are you purchasing them or making your own or saving them when you take them off?
I'm shooting BG mountain ascent and the tape kits are $20. I've thought about switching them to shoot different arrow setups...
Magnus killer bees are good, I've shot them with my 29/70lb bow and had quick kills on deer and elk. My wife is shooting the hammer and I have her set up with the killer bees.
