We're in the flatland so we go to a lighthouse on the beach and hike up and down the stairs with weighted packs. That is the majority of our prep. usually 30-45lbs. occasionally up to 65.

I bought the mrx model with a williams open sight already installed, but it wasn't the globe. I ordered the globe only for the front. The stock rear aperture would not go high enough so I had to order the next higher rear sight.
Just order the right combo globe and rear sight and you should...
yea, those look like a good affordable option for now.
This will just be a 3 or 4 days of beginner skiing. I doubt we go back more than every few years if that.
Yea, it's the LT now. I got the ultra too when it was on sale.
I want to fill my hunting gear gaps while I have the excuse, lol...
I definitely need some better gloves. Would the down pro glassing glomitt be sufficient or should I go with the Northstar glommit or glove?
The down pro or ultra? what temps?
I've never been in practice, lol. I'm just bringing my 16yo, she'll probably be teaching me something.
I've only...
How do you like loading through the funnel ? Is it a big difference in speed?
I was wondering with using the funnel, if it was possible to load loose powder and a bullet(bh209/330elr) in one tube for speed. maybe some some type of wad between the powder and bullet, idk.
Figured, I'd tac on to this thread since I have the same question... I am taking the wife and daughter on a ski trip with some friends to Keystone, CO the first week of January.
Being from MS, I don't have much cold-weather gear. The latest I've hunted was the beginning of Rifle in MT, when I...
Didn't know a load-through funnel was a thing. Sounds convenient.
Anyone know if the arrowhead load through funnel works with the anarchy brake? I'm guessing it would have to be bored out?
Has anyone installed one of these on their Accura/Optima? details?
I have an Accura MRX. I'm wanting options for a better rest in the field than just a trigger stik. I figure with this I can clamp into tripod as well as try out some bipods.
Or should/could I do seperate plates and put the...
Practice longer shots. If there is one thing I left my first western hunt thinking, it was I needed to be more proficient at longer ranges. My buddy had the same thought after his first year.
I agree, I'm usually in a long bed and it's really light in the back end. I almost got stuck trying to back up a mild grade in MT with some snow/ice on the road, luckily I had 4x4.
One thing I do when I'm on sketchy narrow roads is mark the wide spots and turnouts on OnX so if I do encounter...
It happens more than you think. My father-in-law left his gun and case on the four-wheeler rack while leaving a WMA one night, and it slid off onto the road. A guy picked it up and contacted the area manager, and my fil contacted the manager the next morning and was able to link up and get it...
Do you have a link for the pic clamp and ball head? Which slik tripod are using and is it pretty sturdy? I currently have a silk sprint pro II
I think I will try the pic or arca on the tripod and a bog ultralight clamp on top of our trigger stik or silk tripod and see what works out better.
