I think some are confused by groups and same point of impact.
Say I shoot 6 or 7” groups at 80 yards. This is not saying they will impact the same hole at 80 yards. However, I will average the same group size with broadheads. Really not much difference if everything including me is dialed in...
Got some cool ranges we can hit
I have everything still setup at my place in the basement. I’ll cover food, whether a BBQ out to eat etc it don’t matter.
Would be cool to get a handful of guys together and meet up. Go through tuning techniques,
shooting portion, some good food and a few beers...
Just goes to show you, some have holes in their game that don’t make it all come together is the way I see it.
Then instead of figuring out those holes, it’s just chalked up like it can’t be done.
Maybe it would be a fun time to meet up for our own weekend trip of archery fun.
I’ll bring...
Sure, you got arrows and broadheads to donate, I’m in.
I really don’t have to worry if it holds up, that’s the thing. I have been grouping them together for years with no issues. I’ll just keep doing things the way I do them and I’m completely content with that.
Those that feel it can’t be...
So the guys that can group fieldpoints and broadheads together up close and down range are just compensating for it all the time ?
Do you realize it would take an exceptional archer to always be on when calculating that. I’m a fairly decent shot but definitely not that good.
It’s a...
There was no compensation on hold on target and I would be completely lying if I could say I was holding on the exact same spot at 80 yards.
You donate the arrows and broadheads, since a good portion will get ruined and I’m all in [emoji6]
I’ve been grouping with fieldpoints and broadheads...
I feel your thoughts are spot on with my experience in tuning and shooting broadheads down range.
Well put [emoji1360]
It may be a few before I can post you a video at varying distances with my work load. However, I will make that happen at some point.
I never compensate for broadhead impact...
Had a little break today so figured I would defy the laws of math JK
Honestly, guys this is possible and I personally do it every year.
I should say with the right set up since there are many variables, including archer and bow working together as one.

If you have clean bareshafts your fieldpoints and broadheads impacting the same won’t be a problem.
I’ll throw this question out
Why would one not one clean true arrow flight ?

I actually find the opposite and bareshafts are easily drifted do to wind. Where fletching fights it to stay on coarse quite a bit more

Tuning at 100, no.
Back to 20 yards with perfect entry matching fletched. Past that it’s more form than anything particularly grip. At 100 yards 18” is not bad at all. Slight pressure change in the grip and more thumb pad you would actually be right with fletched.

I still have a bunch of original Fusion and they sucked to be honest.
I feel Q2i vanes are the best overall option today IMO. Durable, quiet and great adhesion

Diamondback
I really don’t think their scoop foils or whatever they call them is marketing hype etc.
They seem to do well long range.

I would also add that your conclusion with the broadhead of choice, the Montec is very similar to my actual results long range.
However the Slick Trick Standards, Ram Cats, G5 Strikers, Wasp Drone and Bullet I’ve had excellent results grouping right with fieldpoints out to 100 yards.
Montecs...
