JJ, glad you posted your experience. It certainly speaks to mismanagement.
Regardless of mismanagement, I want to underscore a specific point on this thread. It's not necessarily about the numbers. There are some individuals who'll feel fine at 200 ng/dL and others who'll feel terrible at 400...
Here is the backgrounder for the FDA advisory committee meeting for the Pfizer drug. Read for yourself. The side effects on page 6 are what you're probably interested in.

We still don't know that. Totally hypothetical at this point. Some vaccines provide better titers than natural infection does, while sometimes it's the opposite. Like I said previously, we're getting herd immunity one way or the other.
Sounds like you had an adventures, filled the freezer, and made some memories with 3 generations. If that isn't a successful hunt, I don't know what is!
I don't blame you. I'm already starting to have remorse, however there aren't many good alternatives, hence Idaho knew they could get away with it. With the increased tag prices and the stress to get a tag, it'll likely be the straw that breaks the camels back for many.
The problem here is you have the numbers wrong. With COVID, it's not just 1 out of 100 (maybe if you're only looking at mortality in young healthy population). However, at least double-digit percentage of people need to be hospitalized. This is quite significant b/c it comes as an opportunity...
Vaccines are a victim of their own success. Everyone points to the flu vaccine and it's variable effectiveness, however this can be explained by the variability of the surface proteins neuraminidase (N1) and hemagglutin (e.g. H1). However, many are ignoring things like polio, measles, mumps...
That's why we have randomization. Randomization should take care of this and it usually does. We have post-hoc analysis in every randomized study to check whether the randomization was balanced on many covariates, age, race, sex, comorbidities, etc...
The 90% effectiveness figures are exactly...
I hear ya. I'm part biochemist so at the molecular level it's all amino acids. That being said, that sucker stunk. My tastebuds are closely tied to my olfactory senses, so it was a definite no for me.
Wow, what an impressive young lady you're raising. She had composure as well as being articulate in her description of the events.
I still don't know how she didn't use one sware word. I wouldn't have been able to show my video, lol.
Welcome. I'm just north of you in AA county as well. I've been out to Idaho the last 5 years. My youtube channel Barthuntfish might have some helpful advice for you as a newcomer from the East.
I usually keep an extra pair of socks in my pack. I'll put the fresh ones on and hang the sweaty ones from the antlers. That, and I take a piss around the kill.
This year's elk hunt was quite interesting. It's really difficult getting video of the shot in Idaho without having anything electronic on your bow. I wish they were as worried about the guys using 4 wheelers where they shouldn't be. Anyways, I hope you enjoy.
