I've had great luck with the old 178 amax. They are not as tolerant of jump as the SMK, as you can practically jump it 1/4" and it'll still shoot. I have not shot any of the new 178 Hornady's but they are worth a try. Another great bullet is the 155 Scenarr. You can run them near 2900 fps with...
Trigger, I was surprised as well and pissed, because I paid more for the LRHS than the SWFA cost. To me, the reticle on both the 3-9 and 3-15 are more visible/usable in low light.
They will take care of you as Form said. I had one that the CBS would be around 1 MOA higher than the following rounds. Swapped scopes, and checked multiple times to be sure it wasn't me. They had me send it in on their dime. They had it about two months and couldn't figure out why it was doing...
7,
We all have make choices in life. Some people do have hormonal problems due to chemicals, head trauma, etc. To ignore problems that can be changed for the better is not wise IMHO. I didn't feel well and did my research. I am extremely healthy, eat very little processed crap, mostly a...
For any of you on this thread with symptoms, I encourage you to read on the Tnation TRT forum. Lots of cutting edge information there as well as Life Extension. There is a stickies section on Tnation, read all of it and it will be a huge help. Yours and my health is up to us. We need to know...
To me, the reticles in the SWFA 3-9 and 3-15 are better/ easier to see, than the reticles in the 3-12 LRHS. Form's picture shows how the bold outer posts of the SWFA make it work in low light
I get around 2600 with factory 140's in my Field Craft as well. Very accurate but slow. Im getting around 2740 with rl16 and a 140 Berger and 2760 with rl22 and the 147 eldm.
Take your pic. To me, they are all a PIA, but unfortunately a necessary evil in the South. They're hot as crap and fit nothing like a quality boot, but if your in flatter terrain they are bareable. My most recent are from Bass pro, but of the pairs I've owned, they we're all about the same.
Eye releif is a little better on the 3-9. When you get up to around 12-15 power, head placement/eye relief is more critical, not a deal breaker but you just need to know it. I hear people say the "glass" isn't great on SWFA's but the 3-15 my buddy has was better at dark than my 3-12 LRHS and the...
The 3-9 SWFA is smaller than the 3-15 and a little easier to get behind. Both have good enough glass, the reticle in the 3-9 is a little more bold and they are both tough and repeatable. Wouldn't touch the vortex.
