    I'd say you're probably good and suggest keeping it @ 400 or less. Either of those bullets would work. I killed both of mine with Partitions out of a 7Wby, and a 300WM.

    I transplanted a volunteer loquat late last Summer and was doing fine. Until the rut hit. Danged buck wore it out. Didnt think it was going to survive, but looks like it might make it now.

    I've killed and eat a lot of Whitetail in my 57 years, all killed with lead bullets. I'm very sure the fried chicken and Little Debbies will get me before the perceived lead in those Whitetail.
