I am interested in this same topic and will be following. The rifle build I spoke with you about as of right now will be a 300 rum but I am still wondering if a 300 Norma would be better. My main attraction to the Rum is there is decent factory ammo available especially from Barnes but not...
Want to know something funny? I own a 270 but not a 6.5 but the info is out and that 6.5 is a pretty awesome round. But in the OP weight was mentioned. The Tikka is 3/4 pound lighter than the weatherby and both are awesome rifles. The weatherby comes in with a 24” barrel but the tikka only has a...
I am gonna be that guy...... but why a 270? I would go with the weatherby in these two choices. It is heavier but also has a better stock and a 24” barrel. The stock triggers are pretty nice but a Timney will only run you another $100. Cerakote it and you are off and rockin. I have the same...
I’m a super duper Seek Outside fan but will be running a Metcalf this year. I really like the whole design from the frame to the bag and now that the belt acts more like a one piece belt it works good for me.
I’m really enjoying the Nikon black. It’s simple to use and the glass is pretty damn good. The turrets have been right on after 260 rounds ranging from 100-300 yards. It’s been out 3 times so there’s still a lot to prove but so far so good. $450
1 day out and 120 rounds through my AR10 so nothing about overall durability but it tracked fine. 25 yard sight in, 100 yard zero and box test just for fun. Then I moved to 200 yards and zeros there dialing out to 300 and back to 200. The scope did everything it was designed to do and tracked...
I’m going to shoot a Nikon black 1000 4-16 today. I think sportmans has the non illuminated version for sale for 450. It’s also second focal plane with MOA reticle and turrets. Comes with a sun shade not that I care too much but it has a zero stop and easy adjustment. I’ll keep you posted if...
Did you get to mess with a long action? If so do they feel just as nice? Anything beefed up on the Norma? So many questions.... That 6.5 sure felt nice though in a 22”
I just got to handle one of these at a Sportsmens warehouse in 6.5 creedmoor. It was a 22 inch barrel but the rifle felt really really really really nice. The folding stock was awesome. And I think everybody in the store took a turn holding it.
Life has been absolutely nuts. As of last week I was trying to sell a bunch of stuff but life has taken a dramatic turn for the better. That being said........ What do you guys think of this rifle? It’s pretty light and offered in the 300 Norma. I’m wondering if it could be fitted with a WTO...
