I’m going to shoot a Nikon black 1000 4-16 today. I think sportmans has the non illuminated version for sale for 450. It’s also second focal plane with MOA reticle and turrets. Comes with a sun shade not that I care too much but it has a zero stop and easy adjustment. I’ll keep you posted if interested.
1 day out and 120 rounds through my AR10 so nothing about overall durability but it tracked fine. 25 yard sight in, 100 yard zero and box test just for fun. Then I moved to 200 yards and zeros there dialing out to 300 and back to 200. The scope did everything it was designed to do and tracked well. Setting zero is super easy but I’ll do it all again as I realized I want to get a mount with some built in MOA. Things I personally wish it had were a capped windage dial and that the “0” and indicator line matched up perfectly as it’s a hair off between the two lines. Glass was fine but it was a bright clear day so that doesn’t say much.
