Shot a bull on opener a couple seasons ago. We came back to camp after starting to pack quarters. Tent was no where to be found. Luckily we were headed out to go get the horses to finish packing.
I live in SW MT, know the guys at Schnees well. They are awesome to do business with. I have about every pair of boots they make. I will wear the granites2 for the steep days or late season. My beartooths are uninsulated so those are more my spring/early fall boot.
As mentioned if you are...
Yeah, VG2. It was tight for sure, little sandpaper needed.
Gun shoots great, i can get some photos.
Shooting 156's pushed by rl26. .566 group @ 2870 with a ES of 9.
I purposely cook antelope for people that I know "dont" like antelope. After they scarf their plate down I will let them know what that "delicious" species of meat was.
This goes for elk and bear as well.
On sale for $300 right now + a $50 mail in rebate. I got my at my local sporting good store. Sportsman’s is showing them on sale as well.
Good price for a cc gun
This is 75% of the time that we kill something. We will always bone out as well. Most of the time we shoot something in the areas we hunt it is all downhill to the truck. If I have to do any uphill grade, we will be shuttling meat.
LOL!!!
My buddies and I are age 25-35, we haven't found a spot that we opt to pass. Although it certainly crosses my mind during some pack outs. Solo is nuts, 2 sucks, 3 is a treat, never had 4 people to pack one out.
I would agree 100%, however my "average" of all the bulls taken is around 420. Cows average would be around 200.
We live very close to a 1400 yard range and have the ability to shoot quite a bit.
My 2 cents... not hard to ring steel laying prone at the range under comfortable conditions.
Now...
