New to reloading.
I’m on firing number 5 for .223 and 6ARC hand loads.
Very low volume, but I just wipe each case neck with a paper towel as I set them in case tray to be sprayed with lube. Then resize.
Press and dies run great and have noticed no extra effort or change in accuracy from...
Mine didn’t shoot any different than my Shaw. Five minutes with a 2-64 tap and cap screw and rocksett and the port is closed. You could buy 4 of these for price of the Shaw.
And it’s lighter.
Yeh the Shaw is the answer. But this is stupid cheap.
If the rifle shoots at stock length, it’ll almost certainly shoot cut down.
You can guess pretty easily with searches here and google on velocity expectations at whatever length you’re cutting to. Then you’re just doing ballistics calcs to see if that satisfies whatever you’re going for...
Something is off.
I’ve had the BCA pencil barrel, Shaw pencil barrel, and faxon 6ARC barrel in my two builds. Nothing has shot over 2moa through factory or hand loaded pressure and velocity checking random stuff. Hot and cold. Fast and slow.
I’m not a good shot.
I did torque my barrel nuts...
How many of your shots, practicing or hunting, by percentage and quantity, will be past 300 yards?
Do you hunt in a caliber restricted state?
Do you reload?
I had the 95TMK approaching 2700fps out of 16” 6ARC barrel and 2.3” COAL with Varget. I have no doubt I could get 2750-2800 loading at 2.5”. Just don’t have a bolt gun to need it for…yet.
Factory 108’s 2540 average out of same barrel.
Not verified at distance. Muzzle velocities with a Magneto V3
2016 super crew 4x4 with 5.0
Will break 200k in the next week or so.
Transmission rebuild that I can’t rule out being the fault of the guy I bought truck from at 25k miles. He could’ve done some dumb things. Transmission guy said not common tranny to see in the shop.
VCT solenoid cam timing...
I'm not a gun nerd, yet. This is the second aftermarket stock to make it's way into my house.
This is a present for my wife - her first rifle.
I spent an hour with it at the range. It's awesome as far as I'm concerned. But I don't have much to compare it to, other than 42" long 7mm and...
