    It shows three votes but I’m not seeing any percentages. I voted for carbon with texture but if the grip can’t happen I can make do. The one I handled with texture I liked. Does action length need to be added to the choices?

    When I’ve had to replace I just put the old one back into the foil pack the new one came out of and put it back into the little pouch and disposed of into a water bottle or beer can back at camp. Not sure I’ll ever not get a little nervous changing those things though.

    Smoker/Pellet grill advice, recommendations for setup capable of low temps.

    I use mine in my big plywood smoker when I want to do stuff like cheese etc. Not cheese but gives you an idea.

    Copy, thanks. I will probably just stick to the Tikka then. Slowly acquiring parts and it’s down to the action and stock. Chris’ presentation at HAHA has me sold on the RokStock. Going to be different for someone that hasn’t shot an elk at over 75yds in many years.

    If you’re wanting to do that low of temps just buy a big chief. They are the cats meow for jerky and fish and like $100. When I cold smoke stuff anymore I use an amazen smoke tube.

    I logged with a guy who’s Dad worked on the wannigans. Extra pay made it worth it to him apparently but I’m with you. Charlie the Lonsome Cougar was filmed partially here too. I spent a lot of time in that country in my thirties.
