I started with 210's then was advised by a far more experienced reloader that the 210's were not designed to reliably ignite 85+ grains of powder and I should really be using 215's. I didn't notice a huge difference in the change but when someone with more than 20 years reloading tells you...
I paired my Cimarron with a Lite Outdoors 18" stove with a 7ft pipe. It might be a tad on the long side but, as others have said, I'd rather add a little extra length to protect my tent from burns.
Yup that’s what I was worried about. Not ideal. I’m not sure I want the time liability of single loading when I’m out west with an $800 tag. Still good info!

Are you loading rounds into the gun individually? There is no way a bullet seated that close to the lands would fit in my Remington magazine.

+1 for the kifaru woodsman. Very comfortable full day pack and surprised my buddy how well it carried an elk hind quarter compared to his aluminum frame meat carrier. You won't be disappointed!
Thanks for the reply! We hunted 42 for our first ever hunt, first rifle. There were very few elk to be found but lots of sign. Kinda seemed like the area got hunted hard during bow. Best of luck on your next one!
I used the woodsman for day hunts this year and loved it. Perfectly sized. I'm looking to trim down a bit and add pockets for my overnight trips in the future.
212gn Hornady ELD-X, 89.6gn of Reloader 25 with Federal GMM magnum primers. I will say, however that after taking my first bull at 60 yards this year, I will likely be looking for a new bullet. The ELD-X absolutely disintegrated on the frontal shot at just under 3000fps. I'm sure it would fare...
Anyone have photos with the spotting scope pocket? Also how do you like the lids? They always seemed kind of an after thought in their design and how they lay on the pack.
