Try spending double that…
It’s more about the adventure than the trophy, I love these hunts because I come home and appreciate things like water faucets, and I prove to myself that I am still somewhat ‘tough’
Hunted 15 days in BC this year for a Stone. Unsuccessful. While I admit I want to kill one more than I probably should, bordering on obsession, I had a great hunt. Just couldn’t turn up a legal
Ram. The dream lives on…
Im not quite sure how 'unethical' the situation was as you described. 'Not smart' is probably a better description. I havent done many guided hunts, in fact, the only guided hunt I have done is in Alaska and we had some guys land on an adjacent ridge and spook all the sheep, so I told the...
Id be leery of any 2011 that doesnt have a lot of feedback from non-paid sources. Joe Chambers, a very respected gunsmith and unbelievably knowledgeable of the 1911 and 2011 platforms has given favorable reviews of the Staccato - he has picked apart some of the other high-end brands (Nighthawk...
I carry my C2, the P is larger and prints more (magwell, etc). The P is probably the best shooting pistol I have ever shot, the C2 shoots well also, just carries easier.
Ive only ever ordered direct from Staccato - if you are prior mil or LEO they have a good discount you can apply for.
By the way, this thread cost me another P. Ordered this morning.
I have several Staccato's - C2 and P's - I was a Glock guy (and still like Glocks), but the Staccato is awesome. Have about 10k rounds through them - no issues. Its everything a 1911 wants to be, and a Glock could never be. For those wondering why you would choose one over a Glock - its got a...
I’m probably dating myself, but it was on a titanium action/carbon barrel model from 2016.
I’ll step away from the discussion as it sounds like they have tightened up their product line.
That’s impressive. This was in the 2016 timeframe. I agree that the actions are less than impressive and the stocks remind me of the factory Tikka stock too. I’d rather buy a Sako for the money.
I have been down the Christensen road before - as has my brother. Both rifles shot patterns rather than groups and Christensen was less than helpful. Find a better option…
I have carried .357’s, 10mm’s, and .44’s in griz country. Thankfully I’ve never had to use anything in defense of a bear. That being said, I’ve been relatively close (inside 50 yards) with my pistol in my hand (.357 at the time) and honestly felt under-gunned, and it was only a 400ish pound...
