For those of you that want to swap triggers, what are you guys trying to accomplish?
Just swapping in an $8 “erniethegunsmith” varmint spring, with no adjustment will take the stock trigger to about 1 1/2 lb. With adjustment, it easily goes to 12-14 oz. Very nice trigger.
Other than maybe the...
The problem with using those, or a lapping bar, is they are usually a bit smaller diameter than a scope. For example, I can set a Sinclair lapping bar, or alignment bars, in mounted rings, and they fit ok, while a scope does not.
Setting the scope you are going to use, in mounted rings, tells...
Talleys must be made for those super common egg shaped tube scopes. Add in any other out of spec tolerance in the mounting system, and it’s a disaster.
Set your scope in the rings, and you will know what to do. Most of the time, you will have to lap in order to get a stress-free installation. This is important, especially for thin-walled scopes.
The posters on here that say no to lapping, either haven’t paid much attention when installing...
Sorry for dredging up an old thread, but does anyone know what happened with regards to this. Any charges pressed?
This is almost as bad as shooting a horse, and putting an elk tag on it.
I personally split the difference, and zero at 150 yards. Close enough to avoid your problems at 200, and not have to worry about dialing until 250 yards+.
These companies that make subpar scopes will tell you whatever you want to hear. They will then do nothing about it. This it nothing new.
The cost required to revamp their entire line, while charging more for their products, doesn’t make financial sense. The money required to silence the few...
I think there is a common misconception here in that someone who does something for a living, is good at it. Law enforcement, and military included. This is mostly a false concept.
An enthusiast will be much more knowledgeable, and proficient in the same field, because it’s something they like...
I don’t know how to break the common sense news to you, but just because I’m smart enough to use Nightforce, doesn’t mean my neighbors and pals are. I’ve been a part of scopes puking many times, even recently. Don’t have to own them to see disasters. It’s kind of sad.
Slamming me isn’t going to make your contradicting statement sound any better.
I have used scopes to the point of failure, without even dropping them. Thats why I use Nightforce exclusively now, and have for 10+ years. Have yet to send one in. They have failures like any other manufacturer...
